• NEET Counselling 2024: Students who have secured a position in the state-wise merit list will receive an invitation to participate in the NEET counselling process for Uttar Pradesh.

• Importance of State-Wise Rank: It is crucial for students to recognize that their participation in the counselling process is based on the state-wise rank they have achieved in the UP NEET rank list 2024.

• Seat Allotment Process: During the counselling process, students will be allotted seats in medical colleges based on the preferences they have indicated. The availability of seats and the choices made by the students will be considered in the seat allocation process.

These steps serve as a guide for students to navigate the upcoming stages of the admission process after the release of the UP NEET merit list 2024.

UP NEET Counselling Process 2024

Students must follow the instructions given below in order to take part in the UP NEET counselling process 2024 conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Uttar Pradesh.

• Registration- The first step is to register on the admissions portal. To do this, students must enter their email addresses and mobile number on the UP NEET UG applications portal. Students' login details will be delivered to their registered mobile numbers. 

• Fill Out the UP NEET Application Form- Log in to the admissions site, complete the form with all required information, and submit the required files. Your ranking on the UP NEET merit list will be significantly impacted by how accurately you enter all the information such as NEET score and DOB. 

• Get Documents Verified- Submit all the required documents on the admission portal at upneetgov.in.

• Release of UP NEET Merit List 2024- Once all details and documents are cross-checked by the concerned authorities, the UP MBBS/BDS merit list will be released. 

• Seat Allotment and Reporting to the Allocated College- Once the list is released, students are advised to check the admission portal to know which Medical or Dental Colleges are allotted to them. The seats will be allocated based on the details filled by the students in the application form. Students must report to the college along with the required documents for the final round of admission which includes fee submission.

Required Documents for Verification: Uttar Pradesh NEET Merit List 2024

Students must have the following documents validated by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Uttar Pradesh, in order to participate in the NEET admissions counselling process.

• Passport size photograph

• Class 12th marksheet

• Domicile certificate (for local students)

• Class 10th and Class 12th passing certificate

• NEET admit card 2024

• NEET scorecard 2024

• Valid ID proof

• Category certificate (if needed)

• Fee receipt

UP NEET Merit List 2024: Tie-Breaking Criteria

The counselling authorities use tie-breaking criteria when two or more students secure equal scores in the NEET UG exam. The tie-breaking is listed below:

• When the total marks obtained are equal, the scores in Biology are considered. Students with more marks in Biology will be assigned higher marks. 

• If the aforementioned method fails to break the tie, marks obtained in Chemistry will be considered. Students who acquire higher marks in Chemistry will be given preference. 

• To break the persisting tie, students who attempted fewer incorrect responses will be allotted a higher rank. 

• In this final method of breaking the persisting tie, older students will be given preference. 

Application forms to participate in the UP NEET counselling session 2024 and UP NEET merit list will be released after the NEET UG 2024 results are announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Students can download the merit list from the official website of the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Uttar Pradesh - upneetgov.in.
