The WBJEE 2026 result will be announced after the release of the final answer key of WBJEE 2026 exam. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will publish the WBJEE 2026 rank card on the official website. The exact result date has not been announced yet. 1. You have to visit the WB JEE 2026 result official website at wbjeeb.nic.in.

2. On the homepage, you will be able to see a link to access the WBJEE 2026 result login window.

3.By clicking on the link, a new page will open where you have to enter your login credentials, like enrollment number, password, and security pin. 

4.After entering the details, click on the 'Submit' tab, and the WBJEE 2026 result in the form of the WBJEE 2026 rank card will be displayed on the screen.

5.Every student must ensure to download their result and take a printout of the WBJEE 2026 scorecard.

WBJEE Merit List 2026

WBJEEB will also release the WBJEE 2026 merit list along with the declaration of the WBJEE 2026 result. Students who will be shortlisted will be called to participate in the counselling process. The students' overall score as well as their marks in each subject will be used to compile the WBJEE 2026 merit list. Moreover, the students' category will affect the merit list.

Based on the students' scores in all three subjects (mathematics, chemistry, and physics) of the entrance exam, the WBJEE 2026 General Merit List will be announced. The General Merit List of WBJEE 2026 will be released on the basis of students' scores obtained in all subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) of the entrance examination. A separate merit list of WBJEE 2026 will be released for reserved category students such as SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PwD Rank, TFW Rank. However, GMR will be applicable for all rounds of counselling and seat allotment.

WBJEE General Merit List

The General Merit List (GMR) will be applicable for admission to all Degree Level Engineering, Technology, and Architecture courses offered by the enlisted Engineering/Technology Colleges and Universities in West Bengal. Additionally, this list will be valid for admission to the degree-level Pharmacy course at Jadavpur University. The GMR will be based on the students’ scores in all three subjects—Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry—of WBJEE 2026. Students will be ranked in descending order of total marks obtained across these subjects. In case of a tie, the tie-breaking rules will be applied to determine the merit rank.

WBJEE Pharmacy Merit List

The Pharmacy Merit List (PMR) will be applicable for admission to all degree-level Pharmacy courses in enlisted Pharmacy Colleges and Universities, except for the Pharmacy course at Jadavpur University, where the GMR will be used. The PMR will be based on students’ scores in the combined paper of Physics and Chemistry in WBJEE 2026. Students will be ranked in descending order of their total marks in these two subjects. If ties occur, the tie-breaking rules will be applied to assign merit ranks. The PMR will be used for competitive seat allotment and counselling.

How to Check WBJEE 2026 Result in Case of Forgotten Credentials?

If you have lost your WBJEE 2026 result login credentials, like password or enrollment number, you will also be able to check your result. However, before viewing their results, applicants have to retrieve their credentials following the steps mentioned below. 

How to Retrieve Forgotten Application Number / Enrollment Number?

Students who have lost/forgotten their application number or their enrollment number can follow the steps mentioned below to retrieve their application or enrollment number to check the WBJEE result 2026.

• Visit the WBJEE 2026 result official website at wbjeeb.nic.in.
• Click on the "WBJEE 2026 Results" link.
• After clicking on the link, students will be redirected to a new page where they are required to enter their application number, password, and security pin.
• Click on the "Forgot Application Number" tab.
• Now, in the new window opened, students are required to enter their details like their name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth, and security pin.
• Click on the "Submit" button after entering all the requisite details. 
• The application number will be displayed on the screen, and the same will be sent on the registered mail ID and phone number.

How to Retrieve a Forgotten Password?

Now, in case a student forgets their login password, they can follow the steps mentioned in the section below. 

• Visit the official website of WBJEEB at wbjeeb.nic.in.
• Click on the WBJEE 2026 result link.
• After clicking on the link, students will be redirected to a new page where they are required to enter their application number, password, and security pin
• Click on the "Forgot Password' tab.
• A new window will open where students can retrieve their password by clicking on any one of the given options i.e, OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number or OTP will be sent to the registered mail ID, and then click the "Continue" button.
• After clicking the "Continue" tab, the student can set the new password and confirm the same. 
• The new password will be saved, and it can be used by the applicant in future aspects as well.

WBJEE 2026 Result: Tie Breaking Procedure

Ranks in West Bengal JEE results 2026 are assigned to students based on their performance in the WBJEE 2026 exam. Since many students appear for the WBJEE exam, there may arise a situation where the marks scored by two or more students match. To avoid such a circumstance, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will follow a tie-breaking policy for WBJEE 2026. It is to be noted that the policy of tie-breaking for general merit rank (GMR) and pharmacy merit rank (PMR) will vary from each other. We have provided all the information related to this topic in the section below.

General Merit Rank (GMR): WBJEE 2026 Result Tie-breaking Rule

• Students who will receive fewer negative markings in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics will be preferred in the merit list.

• If the first criterion doesn’t resolve the tie, students with less negative marking in Physics and Mathematics, taken together, will be preferred.

• The next way to break the tie is to give preference to the student who has the least negative marking in Mathematics and Chemistry taken together.

• Students who will score more positive marks in the subject of Mathematics for 2 mark questions will be offered preference. This step can be followed by the positive marks scored by the students in 2-mark questions in the subjects of Physics and Chemistry.

• If the tie between the students is still not resolved, the one with less negative marking in the 2 marks questions of the mathematics paper will be placed higher in the merit list.

• In case of a further tie, students with less negative marking in the Physics for 2-mark questions will be offered preference.

• If all the above-mentioned methods do not solve the crisis, the date of birth of students will be considered. The student who is older in age will be considered.

Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR): WBJEE 2026 Result Tie Breaking Rule

• Students with fewer negative marks in the Chemistry and Physics sections will be offered preference.

• Students who have higher marks in the Chemistry section will be preferred.

• Students who have fewer negative marks in the subject of Chemistry will be preferred.

• Students with more marks in the Chemistry paper for the 2-mark questions will be given preference.

• Students with fewer negative marks in the Chemistry paper for the 2-mark questions will be provided with preference.

• Students who score more marks in the Physics paper for 2-mark questions are preferred.

• Students with fewer negative marks in the Physics paper for the 2-mark questions will be provided with preference.

• Lastly, the students who are older are given preference over the younger students.
