The Department of Health and Family Welfare, West Bengal has specified a set of rules for instances when two or more candidates secure the same score. Thus, the following West Bengal NEET 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria are followed to determine their individual ranks.

• Candidates securing higher marks in Biology will be given preference and allotted high ranks in comparison to the rest.

• If the tie still persists, candidates securing higher marks in Chemistry will be given preference and allotted high ranks in comparison to the rest.

• If the tie still persists, candidates with fewer negative marks will be given preference and allotted high ranks in comparison to the rest.

• However, if the tie still persists, the older candidates will be given preference.
