XAT 2025 Admission Process
The XAT 2025 admission process is similar to that of other entrance exams like CAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc. Candidates must be familiar with the XAT selection process along with each of the stages to put in their best effort. The different stages of the XAT admission process have been explained below:
Stage 1: Registering & Appearing for XAT
The first step for aspirants who wish to seek admission through XAT is to register for the same by filling out the XAT application form once it is out on the official website. Candidates who apply and qualify for the XAT exam will be shortlisted for admission based on the minimum qualifying score set by the respective XAT participating institutes.
Stage 2: Shortlisting for Group Activity/Essay Writing/Personal Interview Rounds
Aspirants are shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process based on several factors which include XAT exam scores, academic profile, and extracurricular activities. The Academic Profile includes Class 10, 12, and Graduation Marks. As for extracurricular activities, only District, State, National & international level achievements are considered. Relevant work experience is also considered during profile-based shortlisting. It must be noted candidates can also be selected for non-profile based shortlisting if they are not shortlisted during profile-based selection.
Stage 3: Group Activity, Written Aptitude Test & Personal Interview
The Group Activity and Personal Interview rounds are mandatory for candidates who are shortlisted for the XAT MBA selection process. The candidates must demonstrate their teamwork, knowledge, confidence, and communication skills during the group exercise. Typically, candidates are split up into groups for this round and given a topic to discuss and expand upon by presenting their points of view. During the in-person interview process, a group of interviewers evaluates the candidate on various aspects such as self-assurance, capacity for management, communication, interpersonal, academic, and professional expertise, among others. Written Ability Test or Essay Writing is part of the XAT selection process and is also considered a parameter for MBA admission.
Stage 4: Final Selection
Following the completion of each round of the XAT MBA selection process, candidates will be assessed according to various criteria in order to make the final admission decision.
