Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a premier academic institution with world-class infrastructure and an outstanding placement record. LPU's Mittal School of Business is among the first 10 institutions in India to get ACBSP (USA) accreditation.
LPU has got 47th National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2022 among all govt and private universities in India.
For admission to MBA at LPU, one should have at least a 55% score in graduation subject to qualifying LPUNEST or CAT or MAT or XAT or NMAT or CMAT. After qualifying for LPUNEST the applicant has to appear for an interview and qualify it.
The candidate can get an exemption from LPUNEST if he/she has scored 80 Percentile or above in CAT or MAT or XAT or All India Rank up to 20000 in CMAT or 230 and above score in NMAT.
LPU also provides scholarships on the basis of LPUNEST/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ CMAT score.
LPU puts its best efforts into grooming the students to get good placements. The curriculum incorporates specific courses under the notion of Professional Enhancement Programmes (PEP) in which the students are prepared to crack the placement processes. PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester. Exhaustive preparatory sessions are conducted before the placement drives of leading brands and major recruiters so that more students can secure good placement offers at dream packages.
In 2023, 96% of the MBA students of LPU have been placed with a maximum package of 29.29 lakh per annum and an average salary of 7 LPA. -Answered on May-01-2023LPU provides mess to the students for ten months as two months of a year are excluded due to summer vacations. Students can avail the mess plan two days prior to the start of academic session and will be required to leave it within two days after regular exams. For availing Mess Plan after the end of academic session for any purpose like summer school/ reappear examination/ make up examination/ PEP/ EEP classes etc., additional proportionate Charges for mess and its administration will have to be paid by the student, subject to the availability and permission for mess plan.
Students have an option to avail Mess Plan from the University or may manage on their own. Mess Plan may be offered in 3 different categories i.e. Standard Mess, Basic Mess and Ala Carte.
Standard and Basic plan includes options of North Indian/ South Indian/ Rajasthani/ Haryanvi/ Gujarati/ Eastern/ North-Eastern Cuisines. North Indian and South Indian cuisines can be opted in the same hostel mess or at centralised locations. Regional cuisine is available at specific locations only.
Basic Mess Plan offers a limited Quantity of food and items.
Ala Carte - Choice of Dishes plan includes the option to take any available dish from any cuisine. For example, at lunch, students may pick a few dishes from the available North Indian menu and a few from the available South Indian menu and a few from some other cuisine. In dinner, students may opt differently as per his/her choice. This Mess Type will be served at selected locations that may be outside the allotted hostel.

-Answered on Apr-15-2023LPU campus is a mini city in itself. There is an electricity backup and water supply. In addition to it, staff assistance and medical service (Medicines and tests On Payment). Study Room, TV Room, Lift Facility, Fire Fighting System, Purified Water Facility, Maintenance Services, Wi-Fi Service, Free Electricity Units (As Applicable). There are 24 hr. electricity backup Water Supply, and services available. There are mess services, laundry services, dedicated parking, departmental store, cafeteria, saloon for boys, printing and copier machines, shops in all hostels, Guest Rooms, Car Wash Facility, Shopping Mall, and Tuck Shops. You name it and you have it.
Food: From ala carte to regional mess, the LPU hostel has all. It has North Indian, South Indian, Rajasthani, and many other regional messes. A student can choose the food as per his or her taste. The quality of food is good. Parathas, Butter, Curd, Milk, Tea are served at breakfast. At lunch, Dry Vegetables, Dal, any Gravy item, Rice, Chapati, and Raita are served. In dinner Chapati, Seasonal Vegetables, Rice and Desserts are served.
Rooms: LPU has a hostel from 1 seater to 6 Seater including the Ac and Non AC. To maintain cleanliness, rooms are cleaned about 23 times per month. The room has an Air Conditioner, attached washroom, and Geyser in each room. Wooden Box Bed, Study Table, Chair, and Almirah. Students have to seek permission to use electrical gadgets having a maximum load of up to 5 amperes per apartment. One and two Seater apartments have attached lobby and kitchenette.
Safety : As far as the security of female students is concerned, LPU is one of the safest campuses. Huge army of security personnel has been deployed all over the campus who keep a round-the-clock vigil. The campus is ragging-free, drug-free, and tobacco-free. If someone has a problem in connection with the residential facilities room, one can complain. The hostel management looks into the matter and resolves it at the earliest.
