It is a pioneer among Ropar's Polytechnic Colleges. Located in Punjab, the college is affiliated to the Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training (PSBTE&IT) and is accredited by AICTE. Diploma courses are available in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, and Electronics & Communication Engineering, with a suitable number of seats in each branch. The Rayat Polytechnic College fees for the Diploma programme is Rs 35,750 per year. It is a three-year long programme, therefore the monthly fees are Rs 2,979. Rayat Polytechnic College provides an afternoon shift course on a full-time regular basis. The college is part of the famed Rayat Technology Campus, which spans 300 acres.
