JoSAA seat upgradation involves where you accept an initially allocated seat and remaining open to potentially securing a higher preference seat in subsequent rounds. What is JoSAA Seat Upgradation?
JoSAA Seat Upgradation means that when you accept a seat in a particular course or college, you remain open to a better option, which is usually a higher preference in subsequent rounds. It works only if there is a higher-preference seat available in the later rounds; you will be automatically upgraded if you have opted for the “float” options. It is to be noted that there is no upgrade guarantee, and it entirely depends on the availability of the seats and your rank and preferences.

It should be noted that withdrawal will not be accepted after the announcement of the last round of seat allocation.
