NEET 2022 Seat Matrix, MBBS & BDS Seats, Govt. State Quota Intake

Aspirants who have appeared for the NEET 2022 should have prior information regarding the number of BDS and MBBS seats in medical colleges in India. This will help them analyze the state-wise distribution of seats, reservations, cutoff scores and more, so they can make an informed decision at the time of NEET counselling process 2022.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET 2022 counselling soon. This year, the exam took place on July 17 and the results as well as cutoff list have been released on September 7.

The counselling for NEET 2022 is conducted online as candidates have to register with DGHS. The counselling process is divided into two categories - AIQ (All India Quota) Counselling and State-Level Counselling. 15% of the seat, as well as cutoff lists in all medical colleges across India are reserved for AIQ. The counselling of NEET 2022 will be declared in the form of a seat allotment list and seat allotment letter.

NEET Total Seats in India Increased – MBBS & BDS Admissions

Over the years, there has been a significant increase in the number of medical seats in the country. With the rise in total MBBS/BDS seats through NEET, aspirants can evaluate their chances of getting admission to private, government, and central/deemed universities. As per the regulations of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), JIPMER Puducherry and AIIMS Delhi now also grant admission to nearly 349 JIPMER MBBS seats and 1,899 AIIMS MBBS seats on the basis of NEET scores.

Moreover, following the implementation of the EWS quota in NEET by the government, more MBBS and BDS seats have been added to the existing ones. As per reports, over 5,170 MBBS seats were added for the academic session 2021-22 and the numbers have only gone up so far.
