NEET 2024 seat matrix is released by the National Testing Agency on its official website. The list allows students to have an idea of the number of BDS and MBBS seats available in medical colleges in India. Based on the NEET UG Seat Matrix 2024, students are provided admission in MBBS/ BDS/ B.Sc nursing courses. It will help the candidates to analyze the state-wise distribution of seats, reservations, cutoff scores, and more, so they can make an informed decision at the time of NEET counselling process 2024.

The NEET 2024 seat matrix is yet to be released by the concerned authorities. Usually, NEET seat matrix is released after the results are made public. The seat matrix is released for each round of counselling. There are about 4 to 5 rounds of NEET counselling that takes place every year. Majorly, the counselling process is conducted in Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, Stray Vacancy Round and Extended Stray Vacany Round.

Based on the previous year's data, the overall NEET 2023 seat intake is 90,000+ where 15% quota seats are allotted by MCC while the remaining 85% of the seats are assigned by the respective state authorities via the counselling process. As per NTA's latest update, the NEET 2024 Exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 5, 2024 and the result will be made public in the 2nd week of June 2024. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), in consultation with the Board of Governors (BoG) in supersession of the MCI, has previously announced that 10% of seats in all government medical colleges will be reserved for economically weaker sections (EWS) for admission to undergraduate courses through NEET UG 2023.

Based on the data of NEET UG 2023, government medical colleges in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana offer the highest number of MBBS seats. With a total of 5200 additional seats in each of these states, the chances of candidates being accepted are likely to increase.
