NEET UG (MBBS/ BDS) Seats in India 2019 - Colleges and Seats

NEET UG 2019 Counselling AIQ Seats

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) begins NEET 2019 counselling registration on June 19 and it continues till June 24, 2019. The choice filling for the first round of counselling takes place on June 25, 2019. The counselling for NEET 2019 is in the online mode as candidates have to register online with DGHS when the registrations begin. The counselling process is divided into two categories- AIQ (All India Quota) Counselling and State-Level Counselling. 15 per cent of the seats in all medical colleges across India is reserved for AIQ. The counselling result of NEET 2019 will be declared in the form of seat allotment list and seat allotment letter.

NEET UG Seat Allotment Process

The NEET counselling process includes the registration process, counselling fee, seat allotment etc. Candidates will need to qualify the written exam to be eligible for NEET counselling. Those who qualify the written exam have to register themselves for the NEET 2019 counselling process by filling in their academic and personal details. After filling the registration form, candidates will need to pay the NEET counselling registration fee as well. The fee can be paid online through debit/credit card or net banking. After that, candidates will be able to see a list of the colleges and they can choose the preferences as per the priority.

After that, the seat allotment will be done according to the candidates’ preferences. Once the counselling process is done, authorities will declare the seat allotment result. Once the seat allotment process is over, a time limit will all other necessary information will be given to the candidates. They will have to report to the college within the specified time frame. Candidates who are attempting the exam will have to pay a refundable tuition fee. Candidates who will be joining under the 15% AIQ/Central Universities will have to pay Rs.10,000 in the case of general and Rs. 5,000 in the case of reserved. Deemed university candidates will have to pay Rs.2,00,000 irrespective of the category.

What is all India Quota Rank?

All India Quota rank is the rank for all India quota seat allotment after excluding J&K candidates. According to the SC directions, J&K candidates are not eligible to participate in the 15% All India Quota Counselling

Who is eligible for NEET UG 15% All India Quota Counselling

Candidates who qualify for all India quota seat basis their rank in NEET UG conducted by CBSE (NTA) except Jammu and Kashmir are eligible. Eligible candidates can download the rank letter/result from the NTA website.

Who is eligible for Deemed Universities Counselling

Candidates who qualify the All India Quota seat basis their rank in NEET UG conducted by the NTA are eligible. This includes candidates from J and K.

What documents are required to register online

Candidates will be required to fill up some information that has been given on the application form which they filled and submitted to NTA, New Delhi.
