NEET UG (MBBS/ BDS) Seats in India

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the NEET 2021 counselling after the exam is conducted. Along with the result, NEET 2021 cutoff will also be released. The counselling for NEET 2021 is conducted in an online mode as candidates have to register online with DGHS when the registrations begin. The counselling process is divided into two categories- AIQ (All India Quota) Counselling and State-Level Counselling. 15% of the seats in all medical colleges across India is reserved for AIQ. The counselling of NEET 2021 will be declared in the form of a seat allotment list and seat allotment letter. NEET UG Seat Allotment Process

The NEET counselling process includes the registration process, counselling fee, seat allotment etc. Candidates will need to qualify for the written exam to be eligible for NEET counselling. Those who qualify for the written exam have to register themselves for the NEET 2021 counselling process by filling in their academic and personal details. After filling the registration form, candidates will need to pay the NEET counselling registration fee as well. The fee can be paid online through debit/credit card or net banking. After that, candidates will be able to see a list of the colleges and they can choose the preferences as per the priority.

After that, the seat allotment will be done according to the candidates’ preferences. Once the counselling process is done, authorities will declare the seat allotment result. Once the seat allotment process is over, a time limit will all other necessary information will be given to the candidates. They will have to report to the college within the specified time frame. Candidates who are attempting the exam will have to pay a refundable tuition fee. Candidates who will be joining under the 15% AIQ/Central Universities will have to pay Rs.10,000 in the case of general and Rs. 5,000 in the case of reserved. Deemed university candidates will have to pay Rs.2,00,000 irrespective of the category.

If you have qualified NEET entrance exam, you can take admission in MBBS at Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences. But in order to take admission you also need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria:-

  • You must be at least 17 years.
  • Age must not be more than 25 years.
  • Must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from Chhattisgarh board or any other board recognised by Chhattisgarh government with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.
  • If you belong to the Unreserved category, you need secure at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology.
