Uttar Pradesh MBBS Admission 2029 will begin in June 2020  and the seat allotment result for the first round of counselling is also available now on the official website. The merit list of the mop-up round has been released.

Uttar Pradesh MBBS admissions 2020 will start from June 2020 onwards, and the academic session at medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh will begin most likely from August 2020. Candidates seeking admission in medical courses offered by colleges in Uttar Pradesh under 85% state quota will have to apply for the seat allocation round. Uttar Pradesh MBBS admissions 2020 will be done on the basis of state merit lists and NEET results 2020 and scores obtained by students in the exam.

Uttar Pradesh MBBS Admission 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualifications: Other than NEET 2020 candidates will be required to qualify the following educational requirement to be eligible for Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS admissions:

  • General candidates who seek admission in Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS admission must have passed class 12 exams with Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English. These candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 50%.
  • Physically disabled candidates who belong to the general category must have secured an aggregate of at least 45% in the above subjects. Whereas, SC, OBC and ST candidates must have secured 40% in the same.

Nativity/ Domicile Holder: Candidates who are domicile holders of Uttar Pradesh can take admission under the 85% state quota seats. Students who fulfill either of the following criteria will be considered the domicile holders of UP state:

  • Candidates whose father is a resident of UP and they themselves are natives of the state.
  • Candidates whose parent/s have lived/ living in the state of Uttar Pradesh for three or more years.
  • Candidates whose parent/s are working with the Government of India.
  • Candidates who are residing in a foreign nation but have direct ancestors/ forefathers who were residents of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Candidates who have passed class 10 and 12 from Uttar Pradesh will also be eligible under this quota and need not show residency proof.
  • Candidates who have passed either class 10 or class 12 from UP will need to provide proof that either of their parents a is resident of UP.
  • Candidates who have passed neither of class 10 or class 12 from Uttar Pradesh must qualify either of the first four criteria.

Nationality: All Indian citizens and OCI candidates are eligible to apply for the Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS admissions 2020.

Age: All candidates between 17 to 25 years of age can apply for Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS admissions 2020. Candidates of the reserved category will be offered relaxation of 5 years in the age criteria.

Registration: Candidates can apply for Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS admissions online by filling in some basic details as mentioned in the NEET 2020 application form and admit cards. Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS selection process will be administered by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh MBBS merit list 2020 will only be released for the candidates who have cleared NEET 2020 and qualify the eligibility criteria have been mentioned in the list. The state merit list comprises the candidate’s personal details, rank in state and NEET score details. These candidates will be able to apply for Uttar Pradesh MBBS counselling 2020 and choice filling round. However, if the name of candidates has featured in the UP MBBS and BDS merit list, it does not guarantee admission in the state’s medical colleges.
