On the official website, the Consortium of the NLUs has declared the CLAT 2025 seats for the OBC category. The law aspirants can check the total number of CLAT seats offered by each NLU for UG and PG courses for OBC students on the official websites of individual NLUs. They can also visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in and click on the participating universities option to view the seat intake for all categories. The total number of CLAT seats is offered based on the category of the candidates. The CLAT exam is conducted to provide admission to the BA LLB, B.Com LLB, B.Sc LLB, BBA LLB, and LLM courses at the National Law Universities (NLUs). The seats can be viewed based on General, SC, ST, OBC and EWS categories. A total of 26 NLUs have participated in CLAT 2025 . The students who have passed the CLAT exam can participate in the CLAT 2025 counselling process .
The eligible candidates will be allocated NLUs during the CLAT 2025 seat allotment round based on their preference for the seats. CLAT 2025 Seat Allotment
The CLAT 2025 seat allotment is conducted during the CLAT counselling process. You will get 3 options during the seat allotment round: Freeze, Float and Exit. Read below to find out what these options mean.
Freeze Option: The eligible candidates will be allocated seats and if they are satisfied with their seats, they can choose the “Freeze” option. Selecting this option means the candidate is confirming their seat in the allotted NLU and will not participate in further rounds of the counselling process.
Float Option: The “Float” option can be exercised by the candidates who are not satisfied with their seats. By selecting the Float option, students can participate in the next rounds of counselling and get their seats upgraded at their preferred NLU. During Round 4, the Float option will be removed, and the last given seat will be regarded as final. So, candidates will have to select whether to "Freeze" or "Exit" the counselling process.
Exit Option: The law students who are not satisfied with their allocated seats even after seat upgrade can choose to “Exit” the CLAT seat allotment round. Once you select the Exit option, you are declining the seats allotted to you and you will no longer participate in further rounds of the CLAT counselling process.
CLAT 2025 Seat Allotment Guidelines
Before participating in the CLAT 2025 seat allotment round, check out the instructions given below:
- The seat allotment list will be published by the Consortium of the NLUs on its official website.
- The OBC category students can participate in CLAT counselling if they have passed the entrance examination with the required marks.
- Once you select your seat, you have to pay a confirmation fee, failing which your name will be removed from the CLAT merit list 2025.
- You have to confirm your seat by paying the counselling fee within the deadline.
- The seat allotment list includes the Student's Name, Admit Card Number, All India Rank (AIR) and their category.
