The exam date of AP LAWCET 2023 has been announced by the Andhra Pradesh State Council For Higher Education, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati. The entrance exam will be held on May 20, 2023. AP LAWCET is a state-level examination for admission to 3-year and 5-year integrated law programmes at government and private law colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The AP LAWCET is conducted once a year. The AP LAWCET examination will be held in 16 separate locations around Andhra Pradesh. Candidates who obtain the qualifying marks (35 per cent) will be able to participate in the AP LAWCET counselling for a fee of INR 750. The test-takers have to take the exam online through computer-based testing (CBT). Candidates wishing to take the law test should begin their preparation early in order to avoid a last-minute hassle.

AP LAWCET 2023 Exam Pattern and Marks Distribution

  • AP LAWCET 2023 examination will be held online. It will be a computer-based test.
  • AP LAWCET 2023 examination is conducted for admission to 3-year LLB course and 5-year LLB courses.
  • The examination questions for the 3-year LLB course are a bit tougher as compared to the 5-year LLB course because the 3-year LLB course involves a graduation syllabus for AP LAWCET 2023 exam preparation, whereas, the 5-year LLB course includes a 10+2 syllabus for the AP LAWCET 2023 exam preparation.
  • The exam will have multiple-choice questions with every question having four choices out of which one choice will be correct and will fetch candidates a plus one mark if attempted correctly.
  • There is no negative marking for the AP LAWCET 2023 exam and no marks are awarded for unattempted questions.
  • The question paper will contain a total of 120 questions with a total of 120 marks, plus one mark allotted for each question.
  • The total number of questions, topics, and the total number of marks will be the same for the 3-year LLB and the 5-year LLB courses.

To secure admission to the B.A LLB programme at Swami Vivekananda Law College, you must have passed 10+2 with at least 45% marks (SC/ ST category candidates - 40%). The programme is 5 years long and divided into 10 semesters. It has an intake of 120 students. The programme is affiliated to CCS University, Meerut and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
