The competition gets aggressive and brutal due to limited student intake by these institutes, especially in the All India Category (AI), and the MAH CET cutoffs can go as high as 99.95 percentile for JBIMS, 98.5+ percentile for SIMSREE, 99.67 percentile for PUMBA Pune, and 99.6+ percentile for Welingkar, etc. among others. Hence, a 90-95 percentile places you behind thousands of other test-takers obtaining the minimum scores required to seek admission to the top colleges.
More than 1.3 to 1.4 lakh candidates appear for the MAH CET exam every year. A 95 percentile places you among the top 5,000-6,000 candidates, and a 90 percentile fetches you a position among the top 12,000-13,000 candidates taking the MAH MBA CET exam. JBIMS offers 150 seats, SIMSREE offers 180 seats, PUMBA offers 180 seats, and Welingkar accepts 120 students for MMS and 600 students for PGDM full-time. You need to obtain a rank between the top 500-1500 for the elite colleges.
