Dear Student,

With a JEE Main rank of 2,93,946, securing admission to any NIT is highly unlikely, as even the least competitive branches (like Civil/Mechanical in newer NITs) typically close around 1.5-2 lakh rank. Instead, consider state engineering colleges (e.g., RTU Rajasthan, WBJEE colleges) or reputable private institutes like VIT, Thapar, or Manipal (through their respective entrance exams). With a JEE Main rank of 86794, you can expect to be eligible for admission to some NITs, but not necessarily the top ones. While it may be challenging to get into top-tier NITs or your preferred branch, some NITs, like NIT Jalandhar, NIT Raipur, and NIT Puducherry, might accept candidates within this rank range. Dear Student,

You have several good options, and the best choice depends on your priorities branch preference, college reputation, fees, and career goals. If you can improve your BITSAT score to 220+, BITS Pilani/Hyderabad/Goa for ECE/EEE (or CS if you cross 250+) is a great pick due to its strong brand, placements, and flexibility, though fees are high. LNMIIT Jaipur is another strong option with good placements and lower fees than BITS. For IITs, your current rank \ may fetch lower branches (Metallurgy/Chem) in mid-tier IITs—worth considering only if you value the IIT tag over the branch. Nirma EE is …

Dear Student,

With an SC category rank of 38860 in JEE Mains, you have a good chance of getting into a good government college but might not get into top-tier NITs or IIITs for the most competitive branches like CSE. You'll likely be able to secure a seat in a decent NIT or IIIT, and potentially even in a good state engineering college with a focus on non-CSE branches. NITs like NIT Warangal and NIT Rourkela are the possibilities with this rank. We hope that we have answered your query successfully. Stay tuned to College Dekho for the latest updates …

Dear Student,

With an All India Rank (AIR) of 2908 in the ST category, a female candidate has a good chance of getting into NIT Warangal, NIT Rourkela, or NIT Trichy for CSE or ECE. However, it's important to consider the specific category-wise cutoff for these institutes and whether the candidate is an out-of-state or home-state applicant. The general category closing ranks for CSE at NIT Warangal and NIT Trichy can be as low as 2,800 and 4,300, respectively. To qualify for JEE Advanced (and potentially gain admission to IITs), you generally need a minimum of 75% in your Class 12 board exams (or 65% for reserved categories) or be in the top 20 percentile of your board's results. Since you have 72%, you don't meet the 75% requirement, but you might be eligible through the top 20 percentile criteria, depending on your board's results. We hope that we have answered your query. Dear Student,

With an 84.4 percentile in JEE Main, there's a good chance you can get admitted to various branches other than Civil Engineering, particularly in NITs (National Institutes of Technology) and IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology). This percentile generally translates to a rank between 160,000 and 190,000, which can still open doors to several non-Civil branches. We hope that we answered your query. Dear Student

Yes, getting into SASTRA for CS with a 98.2 percentile in JEE Mains and 90.8% in boards is possible, but it depends on the cutoff and the overall merit list. SASTRA University considers both JEE Mains and board scores in its admission process, and your scores are strong enough to be competitive. We hope that we answered your query. Dear Student,

With 942 in class 12th and 96.94% in JEE Mains, you have a strong chance of getting into the CSE program at SASTRA University, Thanjavur, especially if you're a Tamil Nadu resident. SASTRA's admission process for B.Tech programs, including CSE, considers both JEE Main scores and class 12 marks. We hope that we answered your query. Dear Sir/Madam,

With a 91.16 percentile and CRL rank of 131,271 in JEE Main (General category), chances of securing a seat through JoSAA counselling in top-tier NITs/IIITs/GFTIs are quite low, especially for Open Category (OC). However, since you mentioned the girl category, there might be some possibilities due to female-only seats. Some of the colleges that can offer seats with these ranks are IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Pune, and lower NITs like NIT Sikkim, NIT Meghalaya,  NIT Nagaland, NIT Mizoram, NIT Manipur, etc. We hope that we answered your query. Dear Student,

With a 91% in the state board exam and a 62 percentile in JEE Main 2025, it is unlikely you would get a CSE (Computer Science Engineering) seat at Sastra University. However, there are slight chances of getting less popular courses at the Sastra University as the competition for the admission is very high. We hope that we answered your query.
