  • The applicant must have a four-year undergraduate degree or a postgraduate degree in any discipline or stream with 60 per cent marks (first-class) or a CPI of 6.5 (out of 10) if they are from the general category.

  • The candidates belonging to the ST and SC categories must have at least 55 per cent marks or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (out of 10).

OR

  • The CA/ ICWA candidates with a bachelor’s degree received in the first class in any discipline must have secured 60 per cent marks or more (CPI the same as mentioned above).

  • The candidates belonging to the reserved categories are given the same relaxation.

IIT Kharagpur

  • The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree of a minimum duration of four years in disciplines like engineering, pharmacy, technology, medicine, or similar.

OR

  • The applicant must have a master’s degree in Science/ Commerce (with Statistics or Mathematics at the Bachelor’s level)/ Economics.

  • A minimum of 60 per cent marks (or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale) is a must for general or non-creamy OBC (Other Backwards Classes) candidates.

  • The ST, SC, or PwD category candidates must have a minimum of 55 per cent marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale).

IIT Delhi

  • MBA: The candidate must have a bachelor's degree with no less than 60 per cent marks (or 6.00 CGPA on a 10-point scale) taken in aggregate if he/ she is from the general category.

  • The candidates belonging to the ST or SC category must have at least 55 per cent marks (or 5.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale).

  • MBA-Telecom: The applicant must have an undergraduate degree in any branch of Engineering/ Architecture/ Technology/ B.Sc. Agriculture Engineering/ Pharmacy

OR

  • The applicant must have an undergraduate degree in any branch of Physical/ Mathematical/ Chemical Sciences, like Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Statistics, Electronic Science, Computer Application, Environmental Science, Computational/ Information Science, Operations Research, Agriculture, or an undergraduate degree in Economics/ Commerce, or CA/ICWA.

  • The minimum marks for candidates are the same, i.e. 60 per cent (6.0 CGPA) for general candidates and 55 per cent (5.5 CGPA) for reserved candidates.

IIT Roorkee

  • If a candidate wishes to get admission into the MBA program of IIT Roorkee, he/ she must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline of either Engineering or Technology

  • The candidate must have a master’s degree in any stream or discipline.

IIT Kanpur

  • The applicant must have completed his/ her graduation with a degree in any of the following- B.Tech, B.E., B.Sc Engineering, B.Arch, B.Sc with Mathematics, M.Sc with Mathematics, M.A. in Economics with Mathematics.

  • The applicant, if he/ she come in the general category, must have at least 65 per cent marks (6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale).

  • The reserved category students (ST and SC) must have a minimum of 55 per cent marks (5.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale).

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad

  • The aspirant must have an undergraduate degree in any discipline or stream, cleared in the first class, or he/ she must have 60 per cent or more marks (CGPA of 6.5 out of 10) if he/ she is from the general category.

  • The candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC, ST) are given a relaxation of 5 per cent marks, and hence, they must have at least 55 per cent marks in aggregate or a CGPA of 6.0 on a scale of 10.

IIT Madras

  • The candidate must be a graduate with a minimum of 60 per cent marks if he/ she is from the general category.

  • Candidates belonging to the PwD, SC, or ST category must have at least 55 per cent marks.

IIT Jodhpur

  • The candidate must have completed a graduate degree course from a recognised body with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or a 6.0 CGPA (out of 10).

  • Candidates applying for Tech-MBA must have a bachelor's degree in any stream of Engineering, Computer Applications, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or a similar course.

With a GATE score of 534 and AIR 2362 in general category, admission to top IITs in microelectronics may be tough. BITS also has very high cutoffs. but LPU offers strong M.tech programs in VLSI & microelectronics with good labs, industry tie-ups and placements, making it a great choice.
