NEET 2020 Answer Key Challenge Process

NTA, the conducting authority of NEET-UG has published the official answer key for the examination on 26th Sep 2020. With the publication of the NEET 2020 answer key, candidates may have objections with the answers mentioned in it. So, what should be done if you find that the NEET answer key has incorrect answer/s? If you find yourself in a situation where you need the answer to this question then we are here to help you. NTA is also giving a last chance to the candidates who appeared in the NEET 2020 exam to make corrections in their NEET 2020 Application Form (if any) from 23rd to 30th September 2020.

The great news is, like many examinations, for NEET-UG, if you have any valid objections with the official answer key, you can take it up with the conducting authority (NTA) through a process called ‘Challenging NEET Answer Key’. The window to challenge the NEET 2020 Answer Key has been activated. The facility to challenge NEET Answer Key 2020 has been made available from September 29, 2020 (2 PM).

What Does Challenging the NEET 2020 Answer Key Mean?

The process of challenging an answer key is a very useful provision to be used by candidates who find any discrepancies in an official answer key. It is through this process that candidates can bring errors that they found in the answer key to the light. And, if their claim is valid, the conducting authority, in this case, NTA, makes corrections and publishes a new and corrected answer key.  

How to Challenge NEET 2020 Answer Key?

The process of challenging the NEET 2020 answer key is not a complicated process, however, it is important for you to follow these steps diligently ensuring that you do not forfeit your Challenge Fee.

Step 1:

Visit the official website of NEET-UG 2020.

Step 2:

Now, one the homepage of the website, look for a relevant link or click on the direct link provided above. 

Step 3:

Clicking on the link will redirect you to a new webpage where you will have to log into the website using your login credentials viz. Registration Number and Password. 

Step 4:

Now select the answer booklet code that you want to challenge.

Step 5:

The next step would be selecting the questions that you want to challenge along with their correct answers. You will also have to provide a comment or justification for your claim.

Step 6:

When you are done, click on the submit/ confirm button. 

Step 7:

The next step would be paying the answer key challenge fee either through debit or credit card. 

Step 8:

Finally, you will get a confirmation message or notification. Make sure to get a hard copy of your confirmation slip. 

Fees to Challenge NEET 2020 Answer Key

  • Every candidate who challenges NEET 2020 answer key has to pay an amount of INR 1,000 per question. 

  • If the claim to challenge NEET answer key is found to be valid, the fee is refunded. 

  • If not, candidates who challenged the answer key forfeit the fee.
