PGCIL recruits candidates for the post of Executive Trainee (Law) every year through the score of CLAT 2026. It is soon followed by a group discussion and an interview. Check out the details including eligibility criteria, application, and selection process ahead.

One of the most prominent routes for recent law graduates hoping to join in India's public sector, particularly in the power transmission industry, is PGCIL Recruitment through CLAT. The CLAT PG (LL.M.) score is the main shortlisting factor used by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, to hire lawyers for important legal and compliance roles. Candidates have a great chance to develop a career in corporate law, regulatory affairs, contract management, labor law, dispute resolution, and policy making inside one of the most significant power sector enterprises in India through this recruitment process.
PGCIL publishes announcements for legal recruiting each year, usually for the role of Executive Trainee (Law). Shortlisting candidates based on their CLAT PG scores is the first step in the selection process. Group discussions, in-person interviews, and document verification come next. PGCIL is very appealing to law professionals since, in contrast to working in the private sector, it offers a planned career trajectory, job stability, excellent pay scales, and long-term employment benefits. A legal officer at PGCIL is responsible for a wide range of tasks, including drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, making sure that power sector regulations are followed, managing legal risks, handling litigation, arbitration, land acquisition issues, labor matters, and representing the company in court. The need for legal knowledge in the energy and transmission industries is growing as India's power infrastructure develops, which broadens the scope of this hiring.
Selecting PGCIL through CLAT is a way to work on significant national infrastructure projects, receive exposure to high-value transactions, and contribute to a dynamic industry—it's not just about landing a government job. As a result, candidates seeking positions in corporate and regulatory law frequently view PGCIL recruiting through CLAT as a wise and fulfilling choice for career progression.
