BFUHS Punjab MBBS Admission 2021: Counselling Registration (Ongoing), Merit List, Dates, Seats, Fees

BFUHS has started the application form for MBBS/BDS admissions 2021, but, before filling the application form candidates need to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria laid down by the Punjab Government for admission of MBBS/BDS in Punjab.

Punjab MBBS admissions 2021:- Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot is responsible for MBBS 2021 admission in Punjab. The registration for MBBS admission has already started from 18th November 2021. Admission are done on the basis of the NEET 2021 result (out). Candidates can check the NEET MBBS seats to evaluate their chances of getting admission. All candidates seeking participation in Punjab MBBS admission 2021 will have to clear the NEET cut-offAdmission to medical colleges in Punjab will be administered by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) and will be done on the basis of state merit lists

Punjab MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2021

Education Qualification: Candidates who have cleared NEET 2021 must also qualify the following criteria in order to participate in Punjab MBBS and BDS admissions:

  • Passing class 12 board exams with Physics, Chemistry, English, Biotechnology/ Biology with at least 50% aggregate marks is essential for general candidates.
  • Reserved category candidates seeking participation in Punjab MBBS and BDS admission will require aggregate 40% marks in class 12, whereas Physically disabled from the general category will need 45% marks.

Nativity/ Domicile Holders: Only bonafide residents of Punjab can avail of admission under the 85% state quota. Only those candidates who qualify the following criteria will be exempted from this rule:

  • Candidates who had either of their parents working with Central Government of India, Punjab Government, or All India Services and have now passed away.
  • Candidates born in Punjab are wards of a late military person, ex-military, or para-military forces.
  • Candidates who have either of their parents working in the defence sector and posted in Punjab.
  • Candidates applying under NRI or minority quota can also seek admission under the state quota seats.

Nationality: Only citizens of India or OCIs or NRIs can participate in Punjab MBBS and BDS admissions 2021.

Age: The minimum required age of the candidate should be 17 years as of December 31, 2021.

Punjab MBBS Application Process 2021

Candidates will have to register, fill all application details and pay the application in order to secure participation in Punjab MBBS and BDS admissions 2021. Check the step-by-step procedure below:

Registration: NEET 2021 details and contact details of the candidates need to be provided on the official admission website of BFUHS in order to register successfully for the Punjab MBBS admissions 2021. The login credentials will then be forwarded to the candidates on their registered contact details.

Filling Academic Details: The next step will be to fill up all details regarding academic background, including class 12 details and personal background. All details must be correct and similar to those in NEET 2021 as it will be verified during the document verification round.

Uploading Documents: Candidates will also have to upload scanned copies of their NEET 2021 scorecard, category certificate (if applicable), signature and passport size photograph. The photograph to be uploaded must bear the date and name of the candidate at the bottom. An affidavit also needs to be scanned and submitted.

Printing Application Form: Candidates must take a printout of the Punjab MBBS and BDS application form as it will be referred to later during the document verification procedure and other rounds of admission.

Paying Application Fees: Application fees for Punjab medical college admissions can be submitted through challan in the BFUHS account at any branch of SBI Bank or Oriental Bank of Commerce. The challan form will be generated once the application is successfully submitted and the account number will be mentioned on the challan form.

Punjab MBBS Selection Process 2021

All admissions to medical colleges in Punjab will be done on a merit basis i.e. on the basis of performance of candidates in NEET 2021. BFUHS will release a state merit list that will be referred to for the allocation of seats in Punjab medical colleges. All admissions will be done on the basis of Punjab MBBS counselling for state quota seats except for the 15% all-India seats that will be filled on the basis of NEET centralised counselling 2021.

Punjab MBBS Merit List 2021

Punjab MBBS and BDS merit list 2021 will comprise the names of the candidates who have successfully registered for the state’s admission procedure. The list will comprise the NEET score of candidates along with their ranks in Punjab state. Only those candidates whose names have been mentioned in the Punjab MBBS merit list 2021 will be eligible for participation in various admission rounds for Punjab medical colleges.

Punjab MBBS Seat Allotment 2021

Candidates can check the seat allotment status by logging into their accounts. Candidates who are assigned seats have to be issued provisional allotment letters.

Punjab MBBS Counselling 2021

Punjab MBBS and BDS counselling 2021 will be conducted in online mode and all state quota seats in Punjab medical colleges will be allocated on the basis of this counselling. Candidates will have to fill their preferred courses and colleges in order of priority and will have to lock these choices. On the basis of candidates' NEET score and state rank, best seat available according to their preference will be allocated. Candidates who do not lock their choices before the deadline must note that the choices filled by them will be locked automatically on the last day.
