About SKU B tech Admissions 2020

SKUCET B.Tech admission process begins in the last week of May. Usually, the admission process for the B.Tech course offered by SKUCET begins only after the announcement of entrance exam results. The admission process for SKUCET B.Tech course takes place in May-June, and the academic session begins in July. Candidates aspiring to secure admission in SKUCET B.Tech course for the academic session 2020 must satisfy the eligibility criteria specified by the varsity.

Entrance Exams Accepted by SKU for B tech Admissions 2020

SKU College of Engineering is a state-run engineering institute. SKUCE accepts AP EAMCET score for B.Tech admissions 2020. B. Tech aspirants of SKU must clear the AP EAMCET conducted by APSCHE/ JNTU Kakinada to secure admission. All the seats in B.Tech courses offered by SKU will be filled on the basis of AP EAMCET score only. There is no management quota for B.Tech admission in SKU. Candidates aspiring for lateral entry admission in the B.Tech programmes offered at Sri Krishnadevaraya University have to appear in AP ECET exam.

The candidates must note that the varsity does not announce a separate notification or important dates for B.Tech admissions 2020. The candidates must strictly follow the counselling schedule of AP EAMCET to secure B.Tech admission in SKU.

SKU B tech Application Form 2020

The official website of SKU College of Engineering does not have any link to submit the online application form for B.Tech course. The candidates must visit the official website of AP EAMCET to register for the entrance exam. SKU College of Engineering is one of the participating institutes of web counselling process conducted by APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education).

A separate website will be created for AP EAMCET counselling, and the candidates who cleared AP EAMCET must register through the official website for AP EAMCET counselling process. During the registration process for AP EAMCET counselling, the candidates must pay the counselling processing fee of Rs. 1,200 (Rs. 600 for SC/ST).

SKU B tech Admission Procedure 2020

SKU or SKU College of Engineering does not conduct a separate admission procedure for B.Tech admissions 2020. The candidates must participate in the centralized admission process conducted by APSCHE.

As SKU is a state-run institute, there will be more demand for B.Tech admission. The candidates must have a good rank (1 – 30000) in AP EAMCET for higher admission chances. During the seat allotment process, 80% weightage is given to AP EAMCET score and 20% weightage will be given to Intermediate MPC marks. The rank will be allocated after normalizing the scores of the candidates. A merit list will be prepared for B.Tech admission, and it will have the candidate’s rank and normalized score in AP EAMCET.

SKU B tech Counselling and Seat Allotment Procedure 2020

APSCHE conducts the counselling process for SKU College of Engineering B.Tech admissions. The candidates must register for AP EAMCET counselling through the official website specified by APSCHE. The registration fee for AP EAMCET counselling is Rs. 1,200 (Rs. 600 for SC/ST).

The counselling procedure of AP EAMCET will involve the following stages –

• Registration

• Counselling Fee Payment

• Exercising Web Options

• Provisional Seat Allotment

• Seat Confirmation

• Reporting

• Tuition Fee Payment

While exercising the web options, the candidates with a good rank (at least 1- 30000) in AP EAMCET must choose SKU College of Engineering as the first priority. Such candidates will have better chances to get admission in B.Tech course offered SKU. However, the seat allotment is purely based on the candidate’s rank in AP EAMCET, reservation policy and availability of seats.

Not all the candidates who choose SKU College of Engineering as the first priority may get admission. It depends on the total number of candidates opting for B.Tech seat in SKU.

For example, if candidates with 1 – 100 ranks choose B.Tech CSE at SKU College of Engineering, 50-60 candidates may have higher chances of securing admission. Reservation policy and AP EAMCET rank will be considered for seat allotment.
