TNEA 2025 Seat Acceptance Detailed Process

After the seats are allotted via TNEA counselling 2025, you are provided the opportunity to choose from various confirmation options. There are 6 options provided, which have been discussed in detail below:

Particulars Details
Accept and Join Students who are satisfied with the seats that have been allotted to them have to download the provisional seat allotment order and then report to the allotted college as per the scheduled date for admission. Students will not be able to claim the seats allotted to them if they fail to report to the allotted institute on the scheduled date, and they will not be eligible to take part in the subsequent seat allotment rounds.
Accept and proceed upward This is the option for such students who are content with the seats allotted to them but wish to pursue allotment in the higher order of his/her choice. For example, if a student has been allotted a seat for choice 5, she/ he can choose to wait for choices 1,2,3,4. However, if no better choice is allotted in an upward movement, then the formerly allotted choice 5 will be confirmed for the student.
Decline and proceed upward If students are not satisfied with their allotted seats, they can choose to decline the allotted seat and wait for allotment in the higher order of her/ his choice in the ensuing upward movement. However, if such students are unable to secure her/ his preferred allotment in an upward movement, then they will be moved to the next round.
Decline and proceed to the next round If students are unhappy with the seats allotted to them and they do not wish to wait for upward movement, then they can move and take part in the next round.
Decline and Quit Students who are not content with the seats allotted to them and do not wish to take part in the further seat allotment rounds can opt for this option.
Upward or proceed to the next round If ‘no seat’ gets allotted to the students based on all the choices, then students will be able to avail this option. Students can avail upward movement in such a scenario. In case any seat is vacant during upward movement, it will be allotted to the student. However, if no seats are available during upward movement, then those students will be moved to the subsequent round.

For Lovely Professional University, the general eligibility for B.Tech CSE is usually around 60% in 12th with PCM, so 45% may not meet the standard criteria directly. However, you can explore options like improvement exams or alternative pathways to become eligible.LPU also offers guidance and support to help students find the right route into engineering programs.Once eligible, B.Tech CSE at LPU is a strong choice with modern specializations, practical learning, and placement support.

Yes, if you’re not taking JEE Main, you can still apply through LPUNEST, which is the entrance test of Lovely Professional University. It’s actually a good option because LPUNEST not only helps in admission but also gives you a chance to get scholarships. The exam is student-friendly and focuses on basic concepts, so it’s manageable with proper preparation.Overall, LPUNEST gives you a smooth pathway to join B.Tech CSE at LPU even without JEE.
