Overall: In my opinion, SRMU Lucknow is a good college. If you are looking for colleges in Lucknow, then this is one of the best options for sure. I am a pass out in LLM Corporate and Commercial Law from the university. In my first year, our seniors gave us a freshers' party and welcomed us. The faculty at SRMU is also very supportive and unbiased. At SRMU, we celebrated many events and workshops. Moreover, if you study sincerely and maintain your academic record at the university, then your chances of getting placed are also good. The placement CTC offered ranges from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 18 lakh.
Placement: Many of my seniors were placed in good positions, and so were me and my batch mates. The overall placement rate of the university touches 80% and the packages range from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 18 lakh. I am a full-time corporate lawyer today thanks to SRMU and their enriching college environment.
Infrastructure: The SRMU campus is huge. It is spread across 100 acres of area. I had a very good college life at the university. However, the university gates remain closed during the academic hours so chances are less that you can exit the campus between lectures. SRMU is located at a distance of only 7-8 Km from the main city. Hostels are also available for boys and girls separately. But from my experience, I can say that the quality of the hostel food can be improved.
Faculty: The teachers of SRMU Lucknow were the best part of the university. For my course, we had around 30 teachers and the total strength of students was around 70 per semester. Most of my professors were very competent in their fields and were active in conducting research activities and workshops. In fact, for my course, some of my faculty members were professional advocates and corporate lawyers which immensely helped me to gain practical insights during my course. The only problem was that the professors were not that permanent and kept on changing at some intervals. Some of my best teachers were Dr Prashant Kumar, Mr Ambuj Mishra, and, Dr Prakash Chandra.
