NHPC CLAT Recruitment

Through the Common Law Admission Test for Postgraduate (CLAT-PG), National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) Limited, India's top hydropower company under the Ministry of Power, offers law graduates an exciting opportunity to join its esteemed legal department. With positions like Officer (Law) or Trainee Officer (Law), NHPC recruiting through CLAT is a significant opportunity for prospective legal professionals who want to pursue a career in the public sector. NHPC shortlists applicants based on their CLAT-PG result rather than administering its own exam, making the test the main requirement for application eligibility.

The goal of this hiring process is to draw in qualified legal professionals who can handle challenging cases including commercial contracts, hydroelectric power projects, environmental legislation, regulatory compliance, land acquisition, arbitration, and litigation. After being shortlisted based on their CLAT scores, candidates go through additional selection processes, which typically involve group discussions, document verification, and in-person interviews. Long-term career advancement within public sector operations, attractive pay packages, social security benefits, and a highly professional work environment are all offered by NHPC.

Selecting NHPC through CLAT 2026 exam offers the opportunity to engage with one of India's "Mini Ratna" public sector companies, which makes a substantial contribution to the nation's power development and sustainable energy growth. By developing legal frameworks for significant energy projects, it enables recent law graduates to put their legal knowledge to use in a technological and impact-driven field.
