Tilak Dhari PG College also known as TD College is one of the top colleges not only in Uttar Pradesh but in India as well. Established in 1914 as an English Middle School by Sri Tilak Dhari Singh, it later acquired the status of a degree college in 1947. Earlier affiliated with Agra University in 1947 and Gorakhpur University in 1956, it is now affiliated with Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (VBSPU). TD College received the Postgraduation status in 1970. 

The college is located 4 km from the Jaunpur Junction and 2.5 km from Jaunpur City Station. The TD College campus is 300 meters away from the Roadways Depot, making it accessible with rail and road. Tilak Dhari PG College is accredited by NAAC with a B grade.

• Candidates must have passed the 10+2 qualifying examination with at least 45% marks from a recognised board for B.A programme.
• For TD College B.Sc admission, candidates must have passed the 10+2 qualifying examination with at least 50% marks from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology/ Agriculture as the main subjects.

• For admission to the B.Ed programme, candidates must have valid scores in the UP TET exam conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Government.
• For all other TD College UG courses, selection will be based on the scores of the exam conducted by the college, followed by counselling.
• For the LLB course candidates must have English as a compulsory subject.
• For B.Com, candidates must have Accounts/ Statistics/ Mathematics/ Economics as a compulsory subject.
