There are two units of NSS in Guru Nanak College. These units have been functioning with full vigour and enthusiasm trying to help channelise the energy of the students into a creative force to steer in social change through a wide range of community related activities such as a forestation, anti-drug drive and many other awareness programmes on literacy, women’s empowerment, issues related to environment, health and hygiene etc. These activities are being performed either in around campus or in the adopted village, Dhokra, a village nearly two kilometers away eastward from the Bhuda Campus of the College.

The Department of Creativity was started in the year 2012 in order to provide training and tools to the young and budding talent in the area of Art and Cultural activates among the students of the college. 

Encouraged by the performance of our students in the inter-college competition under the banner of Vinoba Bhave University youth festivals every year, it was felt that the students needed coaching and guidance of various skills throughout the year. In fect there was a wealth of talent among the students, which deserved to be guided chiseled and polished for batter rusult. 

There being no sanctioned department of Music, Dance, Literary Activities, Performing Art/Fine Art, it was decided to engage teachers and coaches from the local institutions and clubs for this purpose as part time faculty of college, Dr. Ranjana Das the Co-ordinator of the Department of Creativity was entrusted with the responsibility of identifying such persons and engaging them as part time teacher throughout the year.
