JPC has its campus on a land of approximately 30acres. The college has well-established, well-stocked, central library with an ample no. of books and titles. The no. comprises of over twenty thousand books and eight hundred no. of titles ranging from science to technical to general interest. The institute has well-equipped computer lab with a no. of computers. The college has well-furnished classrooms having comfortable benches. JPC has canteen on the main campus which satisfies the need of students for snacks and coffees. The institute has three hostels for male students and only one hostel for female students, all within the campus. Each of the hostels has kitchen, telephone connection, and student's common room. For indoor games facility, there is a 'common room' for students where they can play indoor games like carom, chess, and table tennis, etc. The institute has two big playgrounds which are used by students for playing outdoor games like football, volleyball, etc. Hostels ensure supply of healthy and nutritious diet to its students. College also has mechanical and electrical workshops. The Community Polytechnic Cell attached to Jalpaiguri Polytechnic Institute was established on 01.12. 1987. There are 3 types of activities of C.P. cell mainly to develop self-employment and skill set, spreading technologies among people of rural areas, to develop self and social awareness and harmony among people through some activities like plantation of trees, cultural programs, blood donation camp etc. In this manner, college provides both learning and protective environment to JPCees in each and every aspect.
