Overall: I graduated from Ludhiana Group of Colleges with a B.Tech CSE degree. The course opened several avenues. I was able to secure a job offer from Tech Mahindra with a package of Rs 2.3 LPA. Our curriculum delved into the intricate details of programming languages such as Java, C, C++, HTML, etc. We were provided training on Python, SQL and much more. The laboratories were updated and maintained nicely. The faculty team was good and cooperative. The campus life was vibrant and we got to interact with students from different cultural backgrounds.

Placement: B.Tech CSE placements were really good. Almost 80% of the students from our department got placed. I was able to secure a job at Tech Mahindra. The cell arranged a mock GD and PI session to get me accustomed to the format and interview process.

Infrastructure: The campus is 20 acres and is well accessible with roads and rail. The campus had department-specific labs. Our lab had Pentium IV with 30 computers. Other than the main lab, there was also an internet lab and a data communication lab. The PCs had updated software like FCPIT, OOPS, RDBMS, DSPM, etc.

Faculty: The faculty members of LGC were great. We were taught professional-level skills with ORACLE 9i, VB, Dot Net, VC++, DOS, Auto CAD, etc. We were given follow-up theory and lab classes. LGC also conducted industry visits which helped with our training.

Hostel: The hostels were good, the food was healthy and homely. There was also a common room with a television. Evening snacks were provided. The seniors were very friendly. The hostels also provided free wifi.

The best place to study Mechanical Engineering in Ludhiyana
By Sahdev Palit

4.5

Overall: Ludhiyana Group of Colleges is the best institute for B.Tech in ME because of the low course fees. It costed me around Rs 85,000 per year for this course. Our department had some of the best teachers like Rakesh Kumar sir and Saloni Spall mam. Our college also has a hostel for men and women.

Placement: I can't praise my college enough as I got a job at Tata for which I am eternally grateful. Tata was one of my dream companies. After three rounds of interviews, I was selected at Tata with a package of Rs 6.20 LPA. I was able to perform well in interviews thanks to the soft skill training I received before campus placements.

Infrastructure: Our college had various buildings which were dedicated to educational purposes, residential purposes, and administrative work. We have a canteen on our college campus which offers snacks at a reasonable cost. Other facilities include a library, banking facilities, transportation facilities, hostels, etc.

Faculty: For the BTech in ME course there were 14 faculty members. All of my teachers were exceptionally good and they all had completed their M.Tech. My favourite teachers were Rakesh sir and Saloni mam.

Hostel: Our college has a small hostel which has a capacity of 150 students. We enjoyed the food provided by the mess which included north Indian and south Indian cuisines. The hostel fee (including food and light bill) was around Rs 45,000 per semester.

Overall: Fresh B.Tech grad in CSE (2023) here, sharing my review to help future students! The college facilities are good. The college environment is perfect. I was a silent kid and it helped me make good friends and most importantly I could ask my doubts to faculty. The canteen was my favorite hang out space. I opted for offline admission, you can apply online as well. My first year fees was Rs 85,755.

Placement: Gladly, career-wise, things were exciting for me! campus recruitment in 2023. I took part in the campus placement drive and received offers from Tata and Infosys. Currently, working as a software developer in Tata and the package is over Rs 5 LPA. Around 67% of students got placed from our batch.

Infrastructure: Our college provides a supportive environment for academic success. With six labs, on-campus dining, housing, and modern classrooms, students have everything they need to thrive. The other facilities available were Wi-Fi campus, common rooms, transport facility, bank facility etc.

Hostel: I fondly remember my days living in the college's hostel. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The semesterly fee including meals was Rs 45,000. The air-conditioned rooms and free Wi-Fi made campus life convenient and enjoyable.

Affordable fees for BCA course
By Rahul

Overall: BCA at LGC is overall good. I got admission based on class 12 scores. The application process is very simple and quick. The best thing about the BCA course in the college is the industry-oriented curriculum. Further, the fees of the BCA course is also not much compared to the quality of education LGC offers. I remember my fee for the first year was Rs 47,000. The college conducts various events on campus like Star Night, EDM concerts and more. They have a 24*7 women's helpline, students helpline and anti-ragging committee which is highly active on campus as well.

Placement: Placement cell of LGC is very good. They have tie-ups with very good companies who visit campus during the placement drive. However, a maximum number of placements is fetched by BTech students. Very few companies hire BCA students. However, the placement cell is very helpful and they assist students in off-campus placement as well. They conduct entrepreneurship classes for potential entrepreneurs.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of LGC is very good. The college has no ragging policy and strict actions are taken against guilty students. The campus is big and has sports facilities like cricket and volleyball. Further, the college offers transportation facilities to all nearby areas. The canteen of the college is affordable and offers a variety of north Indian, south Indian and Chinese food.

Faculty: BCA faculty at LGC are overall good. The majority of the teachers are helpful. However, some teachers focus on completing the syllabus only. Vishal sir on the other hand is very supportive and conducts PPT lectures for us from time to time.

Hostel: My experience with the hostel facility was half good and half bad. The facilities are very good such as they have an RO facility, clean washrooms, big size beds and separate study tables. I was not happy with the mess food. The food quality from Monday to Saturday was just okay. However, the Sunday lunch at the hostel was always special and very tasty.

Overall: I completed my graduation from Ludhiana Group of Colleges. I am a BTech CSE pass out student who is now working at Wipro. In my opinion, LGC is among the best colleges for BTech education. My college has given me some of the best memories in terms of education, placement and hostel life. Getting admission in LGC was not difficult as my JEE Main rank was good. However, the college also offers direct admission to vacant seats. The qualify of BTech CSE education here is also very good as some of the best teachers are employed at LGC.

Placement: BTech placements at LGC are very good. Approximately 75% of students got placed in our batch. Companies like L&T, Wipro and TCS visited our campus. TCS conducted a pool drive on campus and hired 14 students at once. I got an offer from Wipro and accepted the offer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is top-notch. There are three big CSE labs with 50+ computers. All the computers are equipped with the latest software like Adobe, Autodesk, ADP, VMware and more. The college has a big canteen with amazing food. The samosas of our college are very tasty and very affordable.

Hostel: Hostel life of LGC is very good. My experience of living in a hostel was very comfortable. We were provided with 1 room (shared) with bed and study table. The rooms are big and ventilated. A common room with a TV is also available. They have Table Tennis and a carrom at the hostel for students. The mess food is good and the quality of the food is also nice.

Overall: I am a former BBA student from Ludhiana Group of Colleges, a place that became my stepping stone into the business world. LGC offered my a vibrant a campus life, a supportive faculty, and a curriculum that was both challenging and rewarding.

Placement: Unfortunately, the placement opportunities at Ludhiana Group of Colleges was a bit limited. Only a few companies visited our college for campus placements. In my three years at the college, I didn't see many official placements happening.

Infrastructure: The campus life at LGC is pretty lively. The college is well equipped with facilities, and the atmosphere is refreshing, thanks to the greenery all around. I used to actively participate in sports and extracurricular activities like dance, singing and even piano. There's also a lab and library available for students.

Faculty: The faculty at Ludhiana Group of Colleges is top-notch. The teachers are highly qualified and supportive, always encouraging us to do our best. They are knowledgeable and always ready to help, making the learning experience truly enriching.

Hostel: Ludhiana Group of Colleges provides a hostel for regular students. The hostel infrastructure is quite good with spacious and furnished rooms, purified drinking water, and game facilities. It was a comfortable space that felt like a home away from home.

Good faculties and cafeteria

Overall: I am a proud alumnus of Ludhiana Group of Colleges, where I pursued my BCA degree. The curriculum is a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, covering a wide range of subjects from programming languages to database management, software engineering and web technology. The course also had project work, which helped me apply whatever I learned in real world scenarios.

Placement: The college has a dedicated placement cell that works tirelessly to secure placements for us students. We had companies like HCL, Accenture, Tata, Infosys, Samsung, LG and others visiting our campus. The average salary package offered was around Rs 1.7 to 2 lakh per year.

Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure is pretty decent. The cafeteria is well-stocked and a great place to hangout. The library, though, is not up to par. The campus itself is quite nice, with greenery all around an eco-friendly vibe.

Faculty: The faculty at LGC is good. The teacher are well qualified and every department has experienced staff. They are hardworking and always willing to help, which made my learning experience quite enjoyable.

Hostel: I stayed in the hostel during my final year. The rooms were comfortable, the food was decent. However, the management for the mess and canteen kept changing every few months, which was a bit of a hassle.

Good Institute for BCA Course

Overall: I graduated from LGC with a BCA degree. I was eligible for the programme and my admission was granted based on merit. I passed class 12 with 90.2% in the commerce stream. The admission process was straightforward, which required an online application, submission of documents and fee payment. Overall, the academic programmes and facilities of LGC were good, however the placements were not up to the mark. The curriculum put emphasis on practicals which was really helpful.

Placement: Ludhiana Group of Colleges placements were average. For our department, very few companies visited and hired students. The package they offered was around Rs 1 LPA. I was able to secure a placement offer through the off-campus placements.

Infrastructure: LGC had a great campus, beautiful and surrounded by trees and greenery. The environment was very welcoming. The seniors were very polite and accepting. The library had a reading room and department specific sections for reading materials. The college also provided busses for transportation.

Faculty: There were excellent and well qualified teachers at Ludhiana Group of Colleges. Some of them were strict and did not welcome interactive learning. Few were really supportive and helped us with our queries. The exams were of moderate difficulty, almost 60% of the students used to pass the tests.

Hostel: On campus there were around 50 rooms for male and female students. The rooms were triple sharing and accommodated around 150 students. We had air coolers in our rooms. These rooms were slightly cheaper than the AC ones. All amenities were present, however, the food quality could have been better.

Quality BTech Education in Ludhiana
By Bharat

3.5

Overall: I recently passed out from Ludhiana Group of Colleges and in my opinion, it is very good for BTech studies. For admission here, JEE Main scores are required. I am not a topper hence I was not able to get admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs or any CFTIs. After hustling a lot, I finally decided to take admission in LGC. My rank in JEE Main was 51750 and I got an ECE branch for admission. The overall infrastructure, faculty ratio and hostels are wonderful here but the placements can be improved.

Placement: Placements at LGC are okay but can be improved. Very few known companies like Raddison Blue, Cisco and Berger Paints have visited during our campus placement drive. Unfortunately, i was not selected in Cisco placement drive conducted on campus.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure at LGC is good. The facilities include a playground, a classroom with CCTV, an auditorium, a big library, a sports room, a medical room, a yoga room, practical labs and more. The canteen at the college is nice and offers really good snacks.

Faculty: Faculties at LGC are very kind and supportive. However, the semester exams of BTech are very tough in my opinion. The teachers also do not give grace marks to increase GPA. Hence, students have to work hard to score well.

Hostel: Hostel at LGC feels like home. The seniors are very supportive and celebrate festivals like Holi and Diwali together. Seniors organise a welcome party for freshers in the hostel.
