Hello Abhishek,

Government Medical College, located in Patiala, offers a 3-year long B.Sc Nursing programme. Admission to which is based on both merit and entrance exam scores. You must have passed with at least 50% (PCB) in 10+2 from a recognised board/ university. English must be a compulsory subject. A NEET UG or PPMET exam score followed by the National-Level Counseling is required to secure admission at Government Medical College Patiala. Therefore an entrance test score is mandatory for admission.

Hope this was helpful. Feel free to ask for any more queries.

Dear Gurpreet,

As per your class 12 percentage which is 91%, you are eligible to apply for B.Sc Nursing admission to the college, if you had Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology as one of the subjects and English as a compulsory subject. A candidate with 50% in class 12 with PCB and English is eligible for the course, and your percentage is much higher than the minimum requirement. However, the final selection for the Government Medical College Patiala admission for the B.Sc Nursing course will be based on the NEET or PPMET score followed by the national level counselling.

Hope this helps! Please feel free to contact for any further clarification!

Dear Student,

I can provide you with some general information about the Government Medical College (GMC), Patiala admission process 2023-24. Here's a general overview:

  1. Entrance Examination: Admission to GMC Patiala for undergraduate medical courses (like MBBS) is typically done through entrance exams conducted at the state or national level. In India, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is commonly used for medical admissions.
  2. Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet certain criteria, including educational qualifications, age limits, and domicile requirements. These criteria may vary for different categories of candidates (e.g., general, reserved, NRI quota, etc.).
  3. Application Process: Candidates must usually fill out an online application form available on the official website of the college or the respective governing body conducting the entrance exam. The application form requires personal and academic details, along with necessary documents.
  4. Admit Card: After the successful submission of the application form, candidates receive an admit card, which serves as an entry ticket for the entrance exam. The admit card contains details such as exam date, time, and examination center.
  5. Entrance Exam Result: Once the entrance exam is conducted, the governing body releases the results and cutoff scores. Candidates are ranked based on their performance in the exam.
  6. Counseling and Seat Allotment: Qualified candidates are called for counseling sessions conducted by the appropriate authorities. During counseling, candidates choose their preferred course and college based on their rank and availability of seats. Seat allotment is done based on merit and preferences.
  7. Document Verification and Admission: After seat allotment, candidates must report to the college for document verification. They need to submit the required documents, pay the admission fees, and complete other formalities to secure their admission.

I hope this was helpful!
