The Placement Cell was created at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) in 2007 getting chaired by Dr Raj Kumar, Director of the Training and Placement Cell of this university. The Placement Committee shall have the following duties or terms to fulfill: 

• To facilitate the placement and training activities of the University and the respective departments.
• Coordinate with the candidates in order to fulfill their placement & training-related aims.
• To facilitate and improve the relationship of the Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) with Corporate, Government, NGOs (Non-Government Organizations) and other recruiting organizations.
• To facilitate current batch students’ interaction with the outside world including, Alumni, advocacy & other Govt. & Public organization.
• organize activities related to training & research in order to improve students’ employability.
• organize workshop activities, panel discussions, and Guest Lectures on soft skills and social skills.
• To nominate one Student Coordinator per program to work with the MDU Training and Placement Cell closely with Training & Placement Cell and help in collecting the data on the Placement of the School / Program with the Training & Placement Cell. 
• Any other responsibilities and activities assigned from time to time as approved by the competent authority.
