Computer Science

In 1999, the Department of Computer Science at Maharaja Surajmal Institute was created. It used to offer the BIS program, which was a four-year curriculum (Hons.). BIS (Hons.) was later renamed Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), which is a three-year degree program. The course is designed to keep students up to date on the latest innovations in information technology and communication.

 Its purpose is to give qualified professionals to IT companies. After completing 10+2, students enroll in the BCA program, which prepares them for a variety of computer applications, including the most recent industry innovations. The BCA program at Maharaja Surajmal Institute is designed to help students develop their entire personality in order to prepare them for higher education, such as MCA, as well as job prospects in the IT industry. 

Two university gold awards have been awarded to the department. There are 21 permanent academic members in the department, with four Associate Professors and seventeen Assistant Professors.

The MSI BCA program is offered in two shifts by the department. The first shift has 120 pupils while the evening shift has 120 students. The course will last three years.

Business Administration & Commerce

In 1999, the Department of Business Administration and Commerce at Maharaja Surajmal Institute was founded. The department offers two BBA programs: BBA (General) and BBA (International) (Banking and Insurance). It seeks to create fundamental competency in major areas of business management in students.

It covers a variety of business topics such as communicating, analyzing situations, presenting one's own point of view in front of a large audience, making decisions based on quantitative and qualitative factors, and developing a holistic view of the various functional areas of the business environment. Students participate in summer training or internships at Maharaja Surajmal Institute as part of their curriculum to gain real-world experience working on real-world projects.

Since 2015, the department has also offered a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) program. The yearly intake for this program is 60 students in each of the first and second shifts. The course is designed to develop expertise in specific areas of accounting and its different dimensions, as well as a wide variety of management abilities. The course curriculum emphasizes in-depth subject-matter knowledge by emphasizing ideas such as basic theories, principles, techniques, and processes in commerce and accounting. 

The B. Com. Department of Education

Since 1999, the Department of Education at Maharaja Surajmal Institute has offered a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program. The NCTE recognizes the B.Ed. program. From the 2015-2016 session, the B.Ed. the program will last two years. There is a highly qualified teaching staff that uses all contemporary curriculum transaction techniques with a class of 100 pupils.
