JEE Main 2026 Session 2

The admit card for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam was released on March 2, 2026, for Paper 1. The city intimation slip for this session was publsihed on March 21, 2026. earlier, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had reopened the Session 2 registration from March 12 to 13, 2026. Initially, the Session 2 registration was conducted from February 1 to 25, 2026. The application correction window for this Session was available from February 27 to 28, 2026. Admit cards are expected to be released three to four days before the exam dates on the official NTA website, i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in. All the details on the JEE Main 2026 can be checked below.

Steps Details

Step 1

Visit the official website i.e jeemain.nta.nic.in, and click on the application form link on the homepage

Step 2

Click on ‘New Registration’. Read the instructions carefully and click on ‘Proceed.’.

Step 3

Fill in all the personal detail details, such as Name, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Gender, Category, Exam Centre Preference (can choose 4 cities) and Education details.

Step 4

Upload the scanned image of the Photograph and Signature

Step 5

Pay the application fee by using a credit or debit card or an internet banking facility

Step 6

Take the printout of the application form confirmation page


Note: Students applying for multiple sessions must note that a separate exam fee has to be paid for each session.

JEE Main Session 2 Eligibility Criteria 2026

The minimum JEE Main eligibility criteria 2026 is to qualify 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognirecognisedional board. Besides, candidates who do not qualify for the JEE Mains January Session can apply for the Session 2 exam. The JEE Main exam is conducted multiple times a year, and you have the opportunity to improve your score in subsequent sessions. Each session is considered a separate examination, and you are allowed to appear for any or all of the sessions.

JEE Main Session 2 Exam Pattern 2026

JEE Main 2026 exam pattern is similar across all phases. The Paper 1 exam will have a total of 90 questions, and the test-takers will have to answer 75 questions. The number of Numerical Value Questions has been increased from 5 to 10 in each subject. On the other hand, the JEE Main Paper 2 has a total of 82 questions (30 in Mathematics, 50 in Aptitude, and 2 in Drawing) for a total of 400 marks. Steps to Resolve Discrepancy in JEE Main 2026 Admit Card -

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Result

NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 session 2 result in April, 2026, in students' mode. Students can download the JEE Main Result 2026 online at jeemain.nta.ac.in. To see the JEE Mains result 2026, student must use their JEE login credentials, which include their application number and date of birth. Students will discover information such as their name, scores, roll number, and position on the JEE test result 2026. The top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualifiers will be eligible to take the JEE Advanced test. The list of JEE Main toppers will be announced alongside the JEE Main 2026 result. Along with the JEE Main session 2 results, the JEE Main cutoff marks will also be released. Applicants who will secure a name in the JEE Main merit list 2026 will be able to take part in the counselling process.

JEE Main 2026 Counselling

JoSAA will conduct JEE Main 2026 counselling online for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTI. The JEE Main counselling 2026 will start from June, 2026. Candidates who will pass in the JEE Main 2026 exam will be able to take part in the counselling process. JEE Main counselling process 2026 consists of many processes, including registration, option filling, choice locking, seat assignment, and payment of a fee. JoSAA counselling will be conducted in six rounds, and the full procedure normally takes more than 40-50 days. Notably, if seats remain unfilled after the sixth round, they are filled through CSAB counselling, which is administered by the Central Seat Allocation Board.
