The Government Degree College (GDC) was established in 2008 and is known for providing world-class education. The college has a faculty of over 22+ members and a student strength of 1098+ students. Located in Paloura, Jammu and Kashmir, GDC offers a well-maintained campus and modern infrastructure. GDC Paloura is affiliated with the University of Jammu.

The GDC Jammu campus is spread across 7 acres of land and is surrounded by greenery, providing a peaceful ambience, perfect for an educational institution. Library

Located in the centre of the academic complex, the GDC Jammu library is easily accessible and is well equipped with a huge collection of books. With more than 8000 reading materials, which comprise textbooks, literary books, competitive books, reference books, and general books, the library also has subscriptions to some of the leading newspapers. The library is fully automated for student access and is open on all working days.

Smart Classrooms

GDC Paloura campus has highly equipped smart classrooms with the latest computer technology and other audio-visual modes. E-classroom facilities like interactive boards, pads, etc. are provided.

Laboratories

GDC campus has laboratories for practical training and skill training. A computer facility and a language lab are present on the campus. The computer lab has internet access and the language lab is essential for improving the communication skills of the students in languages like Hindi, Dogri, English, etc.

Canteen

The canteen on the GDC Jammu campus provides food items at reasonable prices. The canteen is clean and hygienic conditions are maintained as obligatory under the health laws. It shall be run by a contractor.

Government Degree College Jammu provides transport facilities for students from Mishrawala to the college campus.

Medical Centre

A medical or health centre is present at the GDC Jammu campus including a dispensary. This provides First Aid facilities to the students in times of emergency and minor problems. The college dispensary is managed by a trained pharmacist, during college hours.

A xerox facility is introduced in the Govt Degree College Paloura campus and is open to all the students and staff during office hours. The prices are nominal.
