Indian Institutes of Technologies (IITs) have increased the seats in the B.Tech course due to the implementation of 10% reservation for EWS. Almost 25% of seats in these institutes have gone up. The total number of seats in IITs can be checked as the seat matrix is released.

The JoSAA registration and choice-filling process commenced after the result of JEE Advanced is announced. Multiple rounds of counselling and seat allotment will be conducted this year. You must also go through IIT B.Tech fees to prepare your source of funding to pay the fees.

IITs Admission Procedure

Candidates will be required to apply to JoSAA counselling 2024 to participate in the IIT admissions. During the JoSAA counselling process 2024, the candidates will have to select their choice of colleges and courses as per their preferences. The list of eligible courses and institutes according to the candidate’s merit will be listed in the counselling portal of JoSAA. Admissions will be done as per the candidate’s merit, preferences, and availability of seats at the respective IITs.

In most Indian states, just having a BTech degree is not enough to appear for TET or DSC. You usually need a proper teaching course like B.Ed or D.El.Ed along with it.

This isn’t about how “big” or “small” your degree is. It’s about teacher training. A BTech gives you technical knowledge, but it does not train you to teach students in a classroom.
