JoSAA Registration 2023: Date (June 19), Complete Process, Fees

JoSAA Registration & Application Form 2023 - The online registration of JoSAA 2023 counselling will commence tentatively from June 19 onwards, after the declaration of the JEE Main & Advanced results. There are two mock allotment rounds assigned to the candidates. Through the JoSAA 2023 counselling process, JEE Main 2023 and JEE Advanced 2023 qualified candidates are allocated seats in the top-level engineering institutions in the country which include 23 IIITs, 31 NITs, 23 IITs, and 23 other GFTIs. 

The qualified candidates from JEE Advanced 2023 and JEE Main 2023  should have detailed knowledge regarding the step-by-step JoSAA 2023 counselling application form-filling process. Revised Eligibility Criteria for Admission in IITs/NITs/GFTIs Due to COVID-19 

The eligibility criteria for admission into various IITs, NITs, and GFTIs have been altered due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The new eligibility criteria have been provided in the table below -

NITs and GFTIs	Applicants must have secured at least the minimum passing marks in the JEE Main and Class 12th.
IITs	Applicants must have secured at least the minimum passing marks in the JEE Advanced exam and class XIIth exam

Detailed JoSAA 2023 Application Form Filling Process

Step 1	Registration	All those candidates who have secured the minimum qualifying marks have to click on the available link "JoSAA 2023 Registration" first to land on the official website. Then, the candidates have to use their JEE (Main or Advanced) candidate credentials such as roll number and password and then click on the “Register” button. Then, the candidates will be asked to provide their basic details like nationality, gender, etc and once they provide all the necessary details, they have to click on the “Next” tab and proceed to the next stage of the JoSAA counselling application process
Step 2	Choice Filling and Locking of Choices	In this stage, the candidates have to choose those colleges which offer their favourite programmes from the available list of JoSAA participating colleges. After the candidates are satisfied with their choices, they have to lock and submit their choices. The choice filling and locking of choices link will be activated at the end of each counselling round.

After the candidates submit their locked choices, the JoSAA seat allocation process begins where the candidates are allocated seats as per the merit list and choices provided by the candidates. Due to COVID-19, there are some changes that have been introduced in the JoSAA counselling process for 2022 like conducting the documents verification procedure in online mode instead of the offline mode. Similarly, some other changes in the JoSAA 2022 counselling application process are expected.
