All About JKCET 2021 - Dates, Section Process

JKCET 2021 exam date is expected to be confirmed in June, and the online registration for the entrance exam closed on May 20. JKCET or Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test is conducted every year by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination for those who desire to pursue Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) offered at various Government and Private Engineering colleges of J&K. Only residents of the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh can apply for JK Common Entrance Test. The Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Examination Act, 2002 governs the selection of candidates. Before applying, however, the applicants must understand each aspect of the JKCET exam via the sections provided below.

Before applying for JKCET 2021, it is indeed very important that the aspirants know the JKCET 2021 eligibility conditions which they have to fulfil. The applicants must be -

  • A resident of the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (must provide the residence proof certificate)

  • 10+2 qualified (or equivalent) from a recognised Board or University and must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the qualifying exam level

  • At least 17 years or older as of December 31, 2021

Note:

Students appearing for their class XIIth exam in 2021 can also apply for JKCET 2021 provided they clear their qualifying exam at the time of JKCET 2021 result declaration

  • TFW category applicants will be considered under the Open Category and they have to satisfy all the Open category eligibility conditions mentioned in the table above

  • There is no upper age limit to apply for JKCET 2021

JKCET Application Form 2021

The JKCET application forms for the 2021 exam has been made available to the applicants on the official site of JKBOPEE from 13 March 2021 onwards. The JKCET 2021 application forms can be modified until it is finally submitted. The amount that is to be submitted as JKCET 2021 application fee is INR 1200/-. The detailed process to fill the application form for JKCET 2021 is given below -

  2. Click on the “Click to Apply” tab which will be visible under the “Online Application” section

  3. Read the instructions regarding “How to Fill JKCET Application Form” mentioned on the page

  4. After reading the instructions carefully, look for the tab - Click here to fill the application

  5. Enter all the details asked for in the registration page and click on the affirmative button to move to the next step of the application process

  6. Click on the “Make Payment” option to proceed with the submission of the JKCET 2021 application fee

  7. In the subsequent step, you will be asked to upload documents

  8. After uploading all the relevant documents, proceed to the “Print Application” step

JKCET Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2021

The exam pattern and syllabus for JKCET 2021 have been explained below in details -

JKCET Exam Pattern 2021

  • JKCET 2021 paper will be divided into three parts - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

  • Each question will be of 1 mark

  • There will be a total of 180 questions - 60 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

  • Maximum marks of JKCET 2021 will be 180

  • Total time duration for JKCET 2021 will be 3 hours

  • For every wrong attempt, 0.25 marks will be deducted

JKCET Admit Card 2021

JKCET 2021 admit cards will be available on the official website of JKBOPEE. The final date of admit card download for JKCET 2021 will be updated soon. In the meanwhile, it is important that the candidates must beware of the following pointer regarding JKCET 2021 admit card:

  • Without the JKCET admit card in possession, no candidates will be allowed to enter the examination centres

  • The candidates must take out multiple colour copies of their JKCET 2021 admit cards

  • Candidates can also collect the admit cards from the following BOPEE offices by paying 100 rupees -

  1. BOPEE Office, Bhagat-i-Barzullah, opposite J&K Bank, Srinagar-190005 (10 A.M. to 5 P.M.);

  2. BOPEE Office, 4th Floor, South Block, Bahu Plaza, Jammu-180012 (10 A.M. to 5 P.M.);

  • Candidates have to be in their possession until the conclusion of the admission process

  • The exam centres will be mentioned on the admit cards itself

JKCET Result 2021

The JKCET 2021 result will be displayed on the official site according to the official notification released by JKBOPEE. Other than releasing the result for JKCET 2021 on the official website of JKBOPEE, the authorities will publish the result on two local daily newspapers.

Steps to Check JKCET Result 2021

The following steps will take the candidates to their JKCET 2021 result or scorecard:

  • Click on the direct JKCET 2021 result link provided below

  • Enter the required credentials like name, the application number, date of birth etc

  • Click on the “Submit” button

  • JKCET 2021 scorecard will be displayed

  • Verify all the details and download it for future reference

JKCET Answer Key 2021

The JKCET 2021 answer key will be released after the conduct of the examination in two phases - preliminary and final answer key. The JKCET 2021 preliminary answer key will be released on the same day on which the exam will be conducted by 18:00 HRS. It will be available until noon of the next day. The candidates will be given a time of 72 hours to challenge the preliminary answer key of JKCET 2021. For every single objection per paper, the candidates have to pay 1000 rupees. The final answer key for JKCET 2021 will be released after considering the objections raised against the preliminary one. The date for the final JKCET 2021 answer key is yet to be announced.

JKCET Counselling Process 2021

JKCET 2021 counselling process will be conducted for those who clear the entrance exam with the minimum desired qualifying marks for the purpose of seat allotment in various Government and Private Engineering Colleges in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. Presented below are some salient features of the JKCET 2021 counselling process -

  • The candidates have to fill the online preference form with utmost care to avoid any mishap

  • An amount of 1500 rupees have to be paid by the candidates which is the online counselling fee for JKCET

  • The candidates have to be present at the counselling centre/s physically along with all the relevant documents, admit card and the payment receipt of 1500 rupees

  • The multiple choices entered by the applicants must be in decreasing order of preference

For ICAR AIEEA, if you have a score above 200, you can easily get a good college. Your score is excellent with which you can get some of the top institutes for the admission. However, it also depends on the category you belong to(General/ OBC/ SC/ ST).
