Candidates appearing in the GATE examination should also have other options to fall for in case they fail to clear the GATE examination. There are multiple state-level and institute-level M.Tech admission entrance exams through which the candidates can apply for M.Tech admission.

Alternative Exams Other Than GATE

Around 8 to 10 lakh students appear for one of the biggest postgraduate engineering exams in India - GATE every year and it is a no brainer that not all of them are going to secure a seat in their desired colleges. The Reason? Well, first of all, there are a limited number of seats available in the GATE participating colleges. Second, the competition is pretty stiff. Even though some GATE rank holders are picked up by various PSUs, the seat to student ratio of the participating colleges is pretty low.

So what happens to those students who are unable to clear GATE 2023? Does their road end here? Well, here we come aboard with this piece containing the list of alternatives for M.Tech aspirants who are unable to clear the GATE examination. This article contains a list of all the popular state-level M.Tech entrance exams as well as some popular self-financing M.Tech colleges and their admission processes.
