What is a Good Score & Rank in KCET 2023?

KCET 2023: The Karnataka High Court has approved the government's petition to use the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) ranking system for PU II students who passed in 2020–21. The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will soon release a new list of rankings. The report suggested that out of the total 100 marks in the qualifying examination for repeaters, six marks in physics, five marks in chemistry, and seven marks in mathematics be deducted. There will be a six percent deduction on average. The repeaters' results will be 94%, while the fresher's scores will be 100%.Karnataka common entrance test or KCET 2023 will be conducted for admission into B.Tech, B.Sc Agriculture, B.Pharm, Pharm.D, B.VSc, B.Tech Agriculture Engineering programmes.

As the number of takers for the KCET exam crosses 2 lakh every year, the competition for admission always remains high. The closing rank for B.Tech admission in Karnataka via KCET goes up to 1 lakh every year, and the same for B.Sc Agriculture admission reaches to 20,000.

KCET 2023 Ranking System

KEA allocates a rank to a candidate based on his/ her marks in the entrance exam. The entrance exam is conducted for 180 marks with three subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology. The candidates can appear for PCM or PCB stream. A separate rank list will be released for Engineering, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Veterinary, and Architecture (based on NATA) courses. For each stream or course, there will be a separate topper list with individual ranks.
