KCET 2022 Participating Colleges

The Karnataka Examinations Authority has released a list of KCET 2022 participating institutes. Candidates who pass the KCET 2022 are eligible for admission to any of the participating colleges on the list. A number of Karnataka colleges accept KCET marks for admission to engineering programmes. The KCET exam is set to be conducted from June 16 to 18, 2022 and the counselling for KCET 2022 will likely commence from July 2022 onwards.

In Karnataka, there are 252 KCET 2022 participating institutes offering B.Tech programmes and 42 engineering colleges offering architecture programmes. Furthermore, 15 KCET 2022 member institutes offer B.Tech second shift courses. A detailed list of KCET 2022 participating institutes, including total seats and seat distribution by course, is available to students. Students may also look at the college codes of the many KCET 2022 participating institutes to help them make judgments during KCET Counselling and seat allocation 2022.

About KCET Participating Colleges 2022

Candidates who pass the KCET 2022 exam will be admitted to the institutions listed in the participating college's list. 222 engineering colleges around Karnataka offer engineering courses, 39 agriculture and farm science colleges offer agriculture courses, and 47 colleges offer Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy courses. At the time of KCET counselling and KCET seat allotment, candidates must choose a college. Seats will be assigned based on the candidate's preference for college and the availability of seats.

How To Provide College Choices For KCET 2022

To provide college choices for the KCET counselling process 2022, the candidates must be aware of the following steps - 

  • The candidates will be required to use their CET number to log in to their account to fill up their choice of course and college for admission.

  • After selecting the preferred choices provided by KEA authorities, the candidates will have to lock and submit their choices before the last date of form submission.

  • The candidates can also make changes to their course and college choices within the earmarked time period.

  • After the final submission of college and course choice, the candidates cannot make any changes in the form.

  • The candidates will have to follow an “order of preference” while filling out the form.

  • The candidates will only be allowed to add new choices in a scenario where a new course or a college is added to the list.

After the KCET seat allotment, it is mandatory for all the students to visit the allotted institute for admission and seat confirmation. In case any candidate fails to visit the campus for admission or to confirm their seats, then his/ her seat is canceled.

Dear Student,

KCET clearly states that the student must have at least 7years of studies in Karnataka. But to get into Karnataka colleges you can attempt JEE Main or COMEDK. COMEDK gets you into the same college as KCET but there are a lesser number of colleges and the fee is higher comparatively. But if you have special categories like Defence you might be exempted.
