IIT Kharagpur M.Tech Admission Application Form 2023

IIT Kharagpur accepts online applications for Joint M.Tech-Ph.D courses. Before proceeding with online application filing on the official website of IIT Kharagpur, the candidates must complete the registration on the COAP portal. The online application process of IIT Kharagpur for the M.Tech course will involve the following stages: -

Step 1 – Registration: Primarily, the candidates must visit the official website of IIT Kharagpur GATE to register for M.Tech admission. The candidates will have to register with E-Mail ID, Date of Birth, GATE Registration Number, GATE Score, GATE Year, Category and Qualifying Degree. Details entered in the registration form cannot be edited once submitted. Therefore, the candidates must enter the details carefully. Create a password after entering the above details.

Step 2 – Login to Fill Application Form: After the successful registration, the candidates must log in with their registered e-mail id and password. The application form involves profile details, selection of specializations, academic details, and personal details. The candidates must choose their specializations carefully. Applications of candidates who choose irrelevant specializations will be rejected. Save the details after filling out the application and proceed to the next step.

Step 3 – Uploading Softcopies of Documents: Candidates must upload the scanned copies of the following documents along with the application form: -

• Passport Size Photograph

• Signature

• Bachelor’s Degree Certificate/ Grade Sheet/ Mark Sheet

• Category Certificate

• Certificate showing proof of studying Mathematics at +2 level or degree level

Step 4 – Application Fee Payment and Submission of Application: After uploading the above documents, the candidates must pay the application fee of Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for reserved categories).

After the successful completion of all the above steps, take the printout of the filled-in application form. IIT Kharagpur will intimate the candidates shortlisted for interviews through e-mail.

IIT Kharagpur M.Tech Admission Process through GATE 2023

The admission process of IIT Kharagpur is divided into Direct Admission and Interview-Based Admission: -

• Direct Admission: IIT Kharagpur offers admission to most of the M.Tech specializations on the basis of GATE scores. Admissions offered through the GATE score are called direct admissions.
