IIT Delhi M.Tech Admission Process through GATE 2023

Like most IITs, IIT Delhi M.Tech admission process through GATE involves multiple stages. IIT Delhi GATE-based M.Tech admission process is elaborated below –

Shortlisting of Candidates: Based on the GATE score secured by candidates and the GATE cutoff of IIT Delhi, the admission committee of IIT Delhi will shortlist the names of candidates eligible for the subsequent rounds of the M.Tech admission process. IIT Delhi will publish the list of shortlisted candidates on its official website, and only those candidates are eligible for the next round of the admission process.

Written Test/ Interview: The shortlisted candidates will be called for Written Test or Interview. However, only those candidates who have 60% - 75% in B.E/ B.Tech with a valid GATE score are called for a Written Test/ Interview. The selection of these candidates will be based on performance in GATE, written test/ interview and previous academic record.

Direct Admission without Written Test/ Interview: Candidates with 75% or above in B.E/ B.Tech and a valid GATE score will be offered direct admission without a written test or interview.

Registration: Selected candidates must complete the M.Tech programme registration and pay the course fee to confirm admission.
