ICEM Pune Campus

ICEM is situated in the serene and picturesque settings of Maval Taluka, a few minutes walk away from the Mumbai-Pune Express way. The entire campus is spread across 40 acres, out of which 10 acres of land is earmarked for Engineering. ICEM ensures state of the art learning conditions to help our students achieve academic standards to meet industry requirements. Whether it is health, fitness, comfort, reading space, sports or computer time, the ICEM campus provides the best resources.

Over 700 branded and sophisticated computers with major essential peripherals are available. The college is highly concerned with advancement in technology and accordingly keeps updating its labs. Counselling facilities provided by Students, Personal and Career Development Centre. The institute has well equipped Library, modern classrooms equipped with LCD projectors is provided for effective teaching and learning process, sports and gym facilities, playground / sports outlet, Playing fields that are useful for the students who are interested in various sports and games, a well-equipped workshop with all basic equipments for learning “Manufacturing science” is a unique feature of the institute, separate hostel accommodations for boys and girls, Computer Laboratory with 25mbps internet facility, Communication Lab, Recreation hall for students, State of the art laboratories with all modern and advanced equipments and other facilities.

ICEM Pune Hostel & Fees Structure

Hostels are a home away from home. At ICEM provide you a decent stay and the best possible learning environment. Accordingly effort is made to make living in a hostel a comfortable and memorable experience. Many Students consider quality of life as one of the important factors while choosing a College. The stay at campus would certainly provide a wealth of experience by developing qualities such as comradeship and social responsibility. We ICEM encourage the habit of community living and sharing. We provide services to the students from almost all corners of India.

The Hostels are managed centrally under Shree Chanakya Education Society. There is a separate Boys and Girls hostel with common canteen and Gymnasium. Each hostel is supervised by a warden who resides in the hostel.

Students Activities & Clubs

Book Club -

ICEM's Respected Chairperson Dr. Tarita Shankar had initiated Book Club activity at ICEM. The Inauguration of Book Club was held on 12th August 2014 in the reading hall near the library in Avirat Campus.

Chairperson has strong belief that one must have good reading habits hence to cultivate this activity of reading books in young students this BOOK CLUB was formed where in each session with her motivational and inspiring words She not only updates on the new good books she reads each time but also teach students how to read book & summarize it.

In Each session each of the member reads out rather summarizes the book of his/her choice. In one of the session she read some interesting paragraphs from one of her favorite book “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” written by Steel, Daniella and explained students how reading is important in the life. After the completion of reading the book she offered a cup of coffee and cake to all the members of book club.

The following are the objectives of the book club:

  • Encourage reading
  • Make reading a social experience as well as an individual activity
  • Develop verbal expression of ideas and feelings
  • Encourage critical thinking
  • Develop the feeling of belonging to a group, being respected, and treating other group members with respect
  • Bond with others of similar age or cross-generational
  • Time for reflection
  • Time for sharing
  • Time for exploration
  • A chance to see others in a new way
  • An opportunity to see literature in a new way

In order to carry out this activity smoothly and effectively, our honorable chairperson had donated near about 300 books i.e. fiction, non- fiction, Auto- biographies and more to the library which is displayed as a Chairperson’s Corner in the reading hall.


NSS Club -

Indira college of Engineering & Management had successfully organized Indian Nuclear Society national seminar on "Nuclear Technology: “Prime Movement of growth & prosperity”. The event started with the lightning of the lamp by all the dignitaries followed by Saraswati Vandana. Further the brief Introduction of Sir Vishveshraya was given by College General Secretary Mr. Mayur Takalkar on the occasion of Engineers day. Dr. Ajay.V. Deshmukh, Director, ICEM felicitated the chief guests & welcomed all the delegates. Dr. Ajay Deshmukh in his welcome speech focused on the fact that there is stringent requirement of the industries in India & day today requirement of the engineers in all disciplines. Sir has also emphasized on the importance of the subjects like physics, chemistry & mathematics which forms the basic fundamentals of the engineering along with rest of the topics of the engineering and also said that for further development of the student & for the increase demand of the industries it is necessary that students should increase their capacity for future industrial requirement. The first session included the introduction of all four guest. The first guest was Mr. R.K Singh, who is an Electrical Engineer, joined Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in 1986 after graduating from 29th batch of BARC training school .Presently, he is Secretary, Indian Nuclear Society and also a Head, Media Relations and Public Awareness Section, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and working in the area of development of advanced instrumentation for flow visualization and multiphase flow He is leading BARC Outreach Programme with an holistic approach & leading a team of 120 young BARC scientists. In his address sir congratulated the students on the occasion of the engineer’s day and articulated the story which reflects the inspiring qualities of the sir vishveshraya to the students. In his speech sir has briefed about the work in the department of atomic energy and to further state its importance he mentioned that splitting of the atom will help in nation building in terms of improving health, food, drinking water quality, security, agriculture etc.

Celebration of “International Yoga Day” at ICEM campus on 21st June 2017 was held by department of Physical Education. The chief guest for the program was Mrs. Maya Chutter- (Yog Guru). Students & faculties
seek a universal soul through intense concentration, deep meditation, and practices involving prescribed postures, controlled breathing, etc.


Sports Club -

The Opportunity to Make a Difference

Indira College of Engineering & Management has been taking concerted efforts to develop and nurture versatile skills of our students for their holistic development through intensive training. This year Management has gone one step ahead for the overall development of our students. Management has offered exceptional inputs in Academic Excellence, Interpersonal Skills enhancement, Entrepreneurship, Career Awareness, Ethics and Etiquette and Presentation Skills. This scholar club programme has been sponsored by the Management.

To improve their language skills, English training was imparted to the Scholar club Second year Engineering students. The details of the programme are as follow.

  1. The students were trained for the international Graded Examination in Spoken English (GESE) by Trinity College, London.
  2. 57 students were selected for the scholar club. The training was sponsored by the management.
  3. 52 students enrolled for the certification, 27 for Grade 4 and 25 for Grade 5.
  4. The trainer for the programme was Mrs. Zulekha Merchant .The examination was conducted on 10th April 2016.
  5. 38 students secured Distinction, 12 students passed with Merit and 2 students passed with no division.

The training and examination cost was sponsored by the management which was around 1.7 Lakhs.

For the third year scholar club engineering students, technical certification training was given in their respective domain. 100+ students were benefitted in the training modules mentioned below, which will help them to enhance their core knowledge and application oriented approach. The overall training cost and certification cost which was about 3.7 Lakhs was generously sponsored by the management.

As the final year scholar club students’ major focus would be facing the placement process in which the first step is clearing the Aptitude test. Hence every Tuesday the scholar club students are imparted with Aptitude training followed by the language training, Group discussions & personal interviews. Corporates are invited for panel discussion and mock interviews to groom the students and build their confidence.

Initially in the first Batch of 2014 about thirty students from various departments of IGBS & ICEM had participated into this activity in which the group is divided into two batches. The book club session is conducted twice a month at ICEM. In 2015 students from ICAD joined and the new batches were formed.

In this club student’s fond of reading general books other than academics can participate, where students along with our Honorable Chairperson Madam have a session in the library for where they talk about the books and its content….Once in a Year students are taken to the book libraries like CrossWord where Our Chairperson offers them books of their choices.
