The Vidyalankar Campus is spread over a sprawling area of 11 acres at Wadala, at the heart of Mumbai city.The management wanted to erect a high performance building which exudes exuberance; thermally, visually and acoustically comfortable; energy, material and water efficient; safe and secure; easy to maintain and operate and which has a stimulating architecture. The resultant Avant-garde building which was commissioned to be designed by a globally reputed professional architectural firm offers students a vibrant setting for their studies and symbolizes the institute’s resolve to scale new heights continually. The internationally acclaimed DesignShare Honor Award for Architectural Excellence of an Educational Institute was conferred upon Vidyalankar Institute of Technology in 2007 for its unparalleled student-friendly infrastructure designed to facilitate a dynamic learning environment. It has ample and well-furnished space to accommodate administrative, academic, consultancy, projects, research and development and extra-curricular activities and is adaptable to changing needs.

The cultural committee has an important hand in uniting the entire college as well as other colleges with the sacred threads of ‘culture’. It organizes and conducts qualitative entertainment events with a judicious blend of traditional and modern culture. It gives freedom to students in planning, executing events and activities.

Technical Council

The main objective of the Technical Council is to assist the students to have a practical approach to their theoretical knowledge. The Council conducts seminars, workshops, etc. to enhance the knowledge of the students. The Council also binds all the student committees related to their individual branches like BMSA, CSI, ITSA, EESA and ETSA and also increases awareness among the students, about the latest technological developments around the world.

Sports Council

The Sports Council organizes intra-college as well inter-college events, which are evenly spaced throughout the year. The main objective of the Sports committee is to develop an all-round personality of the student as well as inculcate values like teamwork, co-ordination and leadership while exploring talents. For intra-college we have events for various sports like football, cricket, volleyball, throw ball, dodge ball, table tennis, carom, chess, kho-kho, kabaddi etc. whereas, inter-college events include one of the well-known tournaments S6 Cricket, and other like football, throw ball, volleyball and table tennis. All the events are conducted such that boys and girls get an equal opportunity to participate in all the events.

Literary Council

In a technical institute it is often seen that importance is given only to science and arts is relegated to obscurity. In an attempt to strike the right balance between science and the literary arts, Vidyalankar Institute of Technology initiated its Literary Council. The responsibilities entrusted on this Council included organizing literary events such as debates, quizzes, elocution, spell bee, mock parliament, poetry writing, publishing the prestigious annual college magazine ‘V Express’, preparation of the quarterly e-newsletter ‘Vibes’ and also the newsletter ‘Vector’ in association with DNA and conducting other literary activities at regular intervals.

Students Council

Vidyalankar Institute of Technology houses various committees for the development of students. These committees range from various fields like technical, cultural, literary and sports. In a fair, transparent process which is widely publicized throughout the college, selection of the core team of the Student Council is done in which secretaries and joint secretaries are appointed for each of the four councils. The General Secretary oversees the smooth functioning of the four councils. Unitedly, the Student Council works very hard to present innumerable events throughout the year in addition to the most eagerly awaited annual festival ‘VERVE’ which is an intercollegiate kaleidoscope of technical, cultural, literary and sports events and activities spread over three full days.
