JEE Main Cutoff for Advanced 2024: To get eligible for JEE Advanced, candidates must aim for above 90 percentile and 250+ score in JEE Main. The JEE Main rank required to get eligible for JEE Advanced is around 500-1000. According to students who appeared for the exam, JEE Main session 2 exam was much easier. Hence, it is expected that JEE Main cutoff for advanced will see a jump this year. The expected minimum marks in JEE Main to qualify for JEE Advanced is 91+ for the general category, 74+ for OBC, 76+ for EWS, 55+ for SC, 40+ for ST, and 0.11+ for PwD categories.

JEE Main Rank vs College vs Branch Analysis - Admission to participating colleges of JEE Main completely depends on the candidates' rank. Every participating institute of JEE has its cutoff in the form of opening & closing ranks within which seats are allocated. For instance, a JEE Main Rank of 5000 is equivalent to the 99 percentile, which is considered very good. One can easily get into the IIITs, NITs, or GFTIs with this rank. The colleges also specify the specific rank range for specific BTech branches. For instance, for BTech CSE at NIT Calicut, candidates need to obtain around JEE Main rank 2024-8657. JEE Main 2024 Cut off for GFTIs: For GFTI admission, candidates should aim for 150-180 marks which can get them a percentile of 90-95 and 40,000-60,000 rank. This rank can open the doors for top GFTIs like School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi, Assam University, etc. However, with a low rank like 70,000 and above also, candidates can get seats at low popular GFTIs like Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, etc. JEE Main qualifying marks to get eligible for GFTIs for the common rank list is 90+, Gen/ EWS is 75+, OBC is 73+, SC is 51+ and ST is 37+ to get eligible for NIT admission.
