Why is UGC Approval Required for MBA?

Yes, as mentioned before, UGC approval is required for an MBA course in India. Moreover, getting an MBA from a school that is recognised by the UGC has many benefits. Some of these are:

    • It makes sure that your degree in management is recognised both at home and around the world.
    • The University Grants Commission (UGC) is in charge of both funding and managing, setting, and keeping standards in colleges and universities.
    • The UGC is also in charge of the Ministry of Education (UGC). So, in order for higher education institutions or institutes to offer graduation courses, they must first get permission from the UGC.
    • A university that has been approved by the UGC is likely to have all the facilities it needs - a good ratio of teachers to students, and well-organized academic processes.

    What is CMAT 2023?

The exam is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) which has been established as an autonomous organization to conduct entrance exams and assess candidates for admissions and recruitment.

Over 3,500 business schools are recognized by the AICTE and are expected to accept CMAT results. This corresponds to nearly 4 lakh seats available for those who sit the CMAT test. Similar to other management entrance examinations like CAT, MAT or XAT, CMAT also permits you to enrol in some of the country's most famous business schools, including JBIMS, Sydenham, KJ Somaiya, IMT, and GIM.

    What Does CMAT 2023 Test?

The CMAT is a computer-based exam that consists of questions with multiple choices. Candidates are required to read a question that is shown on the computer and then respond to it by selecting the appropriate choice from the list. The examination is broken up into four parts, which are labelled as follows: a) Logical Reasoning b) Language Comprehension c) Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation d) General Awareness. Each of the sections has a total of 20 questions. The exam will last for a total of 180 minutes, and there will be no breaks provided throughout this period.

Students are free to move freely between the different sections under CMAT. This implies that the sections are not timed separately, and it is up to the test-taker to manage the timing between the sections while ensuring that they demonstrate their ability in each of the components. There is a deduction of one point from your total score for every incorrect response.
