Over 21 programmes in UG, PG, professional, and add-on certificate programmes are available at Government College Dharamshala. On May 4, 1912, Sir Louis Dane, the Lt. Governor of Punjab at the time, laid the college's cornerstone. GC Dharamshala faculty includes 43 non-teaching staff members and 83 teachers. It was the first institution in the state to provide post-graduate programmes in a variety of areas, as well as faculties of arts, science, and commerce.
