To make sure every student irrespective of their background can pursue higher education, KUK scholarships are provided to students. The university offers scholarships to deserving and meritorious students. KUK scholarships are provided based on certain criteria that need to be fulfilled by the student to receive the scholarship benefits. It must be noted that Kurukshetra University offers scholarships to a limited number of students and for a limited period of time. The scholarship amount offered to students varies for each scholarship. The Kurukshetra University scholarships are provided below:
KUK Scholarships: University Institute of Engineering and Technology
Golden Jubilee Postgraduate Scholarships
- This scholarship is awarded to students of the PG courses of the Kurukshetra University teaching departments (except SFS courses).
- It is offered to 90 students. A total of 45 scholarships are provided to the first and the second semester students and the other 45 scholarships are awarded to the third and fourth semester students.
- The meritorious students belonging to financially weaker backgrounds or the below poverty line (BPL) with a second division in their graduation are eligible to apply for this KUK scholarship as well.
- The university grants an amount of Rs 500 per month to the students. This is continued for 10 months every year.
Dr Radhakrishnan Foundation Scholarship
- This scholarship is offered to students on the basis of their academic merit. Further, the Dr Radha Krishnan Fund was introduced to provide financial assistance to the research scholars in need of help to continue their research work.
- Dr Radhakrishnan Foundation scholarship is offered to 25 UG students who belong to below poverty line. The scholarship is offered on a merit basis. Students are given financial assistance of Rs 500 per month.
- 60 students from PG courses are offered this scholarship. Students who belong to BPL and have good academic standing are eligible to apply for this KUK scholarship. The scholarship amount for PG students is Rs 750 per month.
Ms Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship
- The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) administers this fellowship and is completely funded by the Government of India. The selected students will get a chance of being placed at St. Antony College, University of Oxford London. They will receive a status equivalent to Junior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford. The fellowship is for one year which can be extended for another year based on the candidate’s performance.
- For this, the candidates must have a uniform academic record with at least 60% in post graduation with a PhD degree in the chosen subject or have published works with equivalent merit with excellent recognition.
- The age limit is between 30 and 40 years pursuing an academic career in subjects like History, Economics and Political Science.
- Candidates with a minimum of three years of teaching experience at the graduate or postgraduate level after completing PhD are eligible.
Smt. Kiran Yadav Scholarship
- This Kurukshetra University scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing BEd Special Education (SE) (Visual Impairment). The scholarship amount provided is Rs 1,000 per month.
