In 2019, NID used a four-statement policy to resolve tie ranks for BDes applicants. By 2020, this expanded to six criteria for BDes admissions, and in 2022, adjustments were made to the NID DAT Prelims tie-breaker for MDes. It's important to note that the General Design Program for Development (GDPD) course was discontinued from 2020-21, converting all GDPD seats to BDes seats. Reserved category students like SC, ST, and OBC can apply through the open category or their specific one. To be considered for reservation, candidates must specify their category in the application.
