TANCA 2020 - TANCA 2020 Round 1 tentative seat allotment result will be released on December 04, 2020.  Every year, Anna University conducts the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) which is a state-level entrance test. It is a state-level exam for admission in M.E/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan courses offered by various colleges across Tamil Nadu. As the entrance exam results are out, Anna University will release the notification for TANCA (Tamil Nadu Common Admission), which is a centralized/ online counselling process for admission in various courses.

Tamil Nadu M.Tech Admissions Eligibility Criteria 2020

A candidate needs to fulfil the following eligibility criteria for getting eligible for Tamil Nadu M.Tech admissions 2020:

  • The candidate must possess a degree in B.Tech from a recognised university/ Institute with a full-time program.

Note that the students pursuing a distance mode degree will not be eligible to apply.

  • The candidate must acquire a minimum aggregate of 50% in the bachelor’s or equivalent degree (45% for reserved category students).

  • Candidates who are currently in their final year of bachelors can also apply for the exam.

  • The candidate must be a domicile of Tamil Nadu. However, candidates from other states can also apply in case of being approved by the examination conducting bodies.

  • Candidate having a valid GATE score are exempted from appearing in the entrance test. However, students who have appeared for Life Sciences (XL) or Engineering Sciences (XE) papers in GATE need to appear for TANCET 2020 exam.

The eligible candidates need to follow the given process to apply for Tamil Nadu M.Tech Admissions 2020. The candidates must note that there will be a separate registration for TANCET and TANCA.

Step 1: First the candidate will have to visit the TANCET official website and fill the application form using required information such as name, gender, DOB, etc. After filling all the information correctly, the candidate will submit the form.

Step 2: After submitting the form, a login ID and password will be generated for the candidate. Using the same ID and password, the candidate will log in into a portal where they will have to fill the form in terms of their educational qualifications and other details. The candidate will also choose the preferred centre for the exam.

Step 3: After filling the details, the candidate will upload the scanned copy of all the required documents and signature as specified.

Step 4: The candidate will have to pay the application fee using any of the modes including credit/debit/net banking.

Step 5: Finally, the candidate will submit the form. It is advised for the students to cross-check all the details before submitting the form as no changes will be entertained after submitting the form.

TANCA M.Tech Counseling Process 2020

The counselling for Tamil Nadu M.Tech admissions 2020 will start after the declaration of result which will be conducted by TANCA. The candidates appearing for TANCET 2020 exam will be shortlisted and called for the counselling round based on the arks score by them in TANCET and GATE exam. The candidate will get a chance to lock their seats in the preferred colleges/institutes for M.Tech. Finally, based on the merit list, category, seat availability, and preference of the candidate, seats will be allocated.
