TANCET Merit List 2025

Anna University released the merit list/rank list for the TANCET exam on July 14, 2025, on the official website, for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree programmes for the academic session 2025-26. You can submit your grievances against the rank list from July 15 to July 18, 2025 (up to 5 pm). There will be three kinds of TANCET merit list 2025 namely the GATE 2025 rank list and a Sponsored Category merit list. The lists have been made available on the official website of TANCET 2025 @tn-mbamca.com. The merit list has been compiled depending on the marks secured by the candidates in the TANCET 2025 entrance exam. 1 mark is awarded for each correct answer and 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect response. Different factors have been taken into consideration for the preparation of the merit lists for all three different categories. 

Rankings for General category applicants for MBA and MCA courses and Differently-abled candidates under both MBA and MCA categories are included under the TANCET 2025 rank list. All the participating colleges of the TANCET 2025 exam will consider the TANCET rank list 2025 for the admission process. Candidates featuring in the TANCET merit list 2025 will be eligible to participate in the TANCET counselling 2025.

Types of TANCET Rank List 2025

The governing body, i.e Anna University will publish three different merit lists after the declaration of the TANCET 2025 result.

TANCET 2025 Rank List

This merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured by the candidates in the TANCET 2025 entrance exam. The merit list of the TANCET 2025 entrance exam will showcase the names of those candidates who will be eligible to participate in the next round of the admission process in the TANCET 2025 participating colleges.

GATE Category Merit List: TANCET 2025

Candidates in this category will be ranked according to their GATE 2025 exam scores when applying to engineering or technology programs offered by different TANCET 2025 participating colleges.  The merit list for Life Sciences and Engineering Sciences papers will be prepared by taking into account the GATE and TANCET 2025 scores. Both GATE (Engineering/Technology) and GATE (Life Science/Engineering Science) will receive a unified merit list.

Sponsored Category Merit List: TANCET 2025

Under this category, a few seats will be made available for candidates with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Government Aided Educational Institutions, Government Organisations or as registered professional architects.  Based on the result of TANCET 2025, the sponsored category merit list will be prepared. The Anna University, Chennai, University Departments will admit such sponsored candidates who will be placed in the TANCET 2025 sponsored category merit list.

How to Check TANCET Rank List 2025?

Candidates will be able to check the TANCET 2025 rank list on the official website of Anna University – annnauniv.edu. There will be separate rank lists for the Non-GATE 2025 candidates and for the GATE 2024 candidates.

Steps to check TANCET Rank List 2025 of Non-GATE Candidates

Step 1: Go to the official website of TANCET 2025 - tancet.annauniv.edu.

Step 2: Click on the link that says "MBA/MCA Counselling Click Here" on the homepage, get redirected to the page that displays the rank lists on the ledt, and download rank list link available on the website.

Step 3: Click on the button of Non-GATE Rank 2025.

Step 4: Provide your TANCET 2025 Registration number, Date of Birth, and answer to the Sum of numbers asked.

Step 5: Proceed to click on Enter and submit the details.

Step 6: Click on Reset to re-enter the details.

Steps to check TANCET 2025 Rank List of GATE Candidates

Step 1: Visit the official website of TANCET exam 2025 - tancet.annauniv.edu

Step 2: Click on the link available for rank inquiry and download the call letter.

Step 3: Further click on the button for GATE 2025 Rank.

Step 4: Provide your GATE 2025 Registration number, Date of Birth, and answer to the Sum of numbers asked.

Step 5: Click on Enter to submit the details.

Step 6: Proceed to click on Reset to re-enter the details.

Institutions Included Under TANCET 2025 Counselling

The TANCET 2025 admission process applies to the following institutions:

• Government and Government-Aided Engineering and Arts and Science Colleges
• University Departments (including Anna University, Annamalai University, and their regional centres), and 
• Self-financing institutions under the purview of the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) and the Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE), Chennai
