TANCET MBA 2024 - Result (Released), Answer Key, Exam Date, Counselling/ Admission Dates

TANCET MBA 2024 exam was conducted on March 8, 2024, by Anna University in offline mode (pen & paper mode). The result has been released on March 28 on the official website at tancet.annauniv.edu. Now that the result is released, the counselling process will begin soon for the qualified candidates, most likely in June 2024. Earlier, the final answer key was made available on March 22 while the provisional answer key was released on March 13. The TANCET MBA exam is conducted every year on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government for admission to MBA colleges in Tamil Nadu. TANCET MBA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To apply forTANCET 2024 MBA, the candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria for the same, it is only then the candidates will be allowed to appear in the entrance test. Listed below are the eligibility criteria for TANCET 2024.

Age Limit

• Candidates should be at least 18 years of age to appear for the entrance test. There is no upper age limit for TANCET 2024.

Education Qualification

• Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% (general category candidates) or 45% aggregate marks (reserved category candidates).

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in one of the following categories:

  • (10+2) + 3 or 4 or 5-year graduate degree

  • A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) or Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree.

  • (10+2) + AMIE

  • Class 10th + 3 years Diploma + 3-years graduate degree

  • Class 10th + 3 years diploma (awarded by a State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE

• Candidates who are in the final semester of the qualifying degree may also apply for TANCET MBA 2024.

• Other candidates of Tamil Nadu may also appear in the exam but the eligibility criteria will be specified by the admission officers.

Note: The following candidates are not eligible for TANCET 2024:

• Candidates who have obtained their BE/BTech degree through distance learning.

• Candidates with a degree obtained without studying class 10th, 12th, or a 3-year degree program.

• Candidates with lateral entry admissions in all courses except BTech/ BE and MCA.

• Candidates who are in the final year of professional courses such as AMIE.

TANCET MBA 2024 Application Process

The TANCET 2024 Application Form for MBA can only be filled out through an online process. Candidates had to complete the registration for TANCET 2023 by the last date. Given below is the online application process for TANCET MBA 2024.

Step 1: Click on the TANCET 2024 Registration Link available on the official website (tancet.annauniv.edu/tancet). 

Step 2: Complete the registration process.

Step 3: Upload the Community Certificate. This is necessary for candidates who require a concession in the application fee. Candidates who do not have a Community Certificate will have to pay the complete amount.

Step 4: After completing the application form, candidates will be redirected to the payments page. Candidates must make the payment online through the payment portal.

Step 5: Once the payment has been completed, candidates must fill in all of the required details in the application form. Before submitting the form, candidates are asked to confirm that the information they entered is correct.

Step 6: Take a printout of the application form. The option to take a printout is only available for candidates with successful registrations. If you are unable to take a printout, check the status of your application and follow the instructions given.

TANCET MBA 2024 Entrance Test Fee

Candidates applying for TANCET 2024 have to pay an entrance test fee before they can submit their applications. The fee payment can only be made through an online process. Reserved category candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu are given a 50% concession in the application fee. Candidates have to submit a valid community certificate before fee payment if they wish to avail of the concession. Otherwise, the complete fee must be paid by the candidate.

Candidates must also note the following important information regarding TANCET MBA Admit Card:

• In case there is an error in the admit card of the candidate, they must contact the conducting body immediately for correction.

• If the admit card is found lost after the test, a duplicate hall ticket can be obtained only on payment of Rs. 100/- Demand Draft, with a written request to The Secretary, TANCET Exam, Anna University, Chennai (Tamil Nadu)– 600 025, indicating the Registration No. or the Application No. along with the Name of the Examination Centre.

• TANCET admit card is an important document and it is mandatory to carry it to the exam hall. The appearing candidates will not be allowed in the entrance examination without the admit card copy.

• The Registration Number mentioned in the Hall Ticket will need to be entered at the appropriate place in the admission application form to be filled with the respective admitting authority later.
