R D Engineering College accepts admission on the basis of marks obtained by students in their state level entrance examinations conducted by the state of Uttar Pradesh. A merit list is prepared on the basis of the scores and students who are shortlisted are being called for counseling. The college follows the guidelines of AKTU Lucknow for its admissions. 

Moreover, students must  have completed their 10+2 Level of education from a recognised university or board by the state of Uttar Pradesh.
