Hello Vani,

For DU admission 2023, to the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, candidates have to take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) exam. This exam has been made mandatory for all students seeking admission to DU. The requirements for the admissions are stated here, candidates have to meet the requirements in order to secure admission. Delhi University UG admission will consider CUET UG scores, while PG admissions will consider CUET PG scores. Candidates willing for admission have to show up for the appropriate exams.

Candidates who pass the entrance exam then must register on Delhi University's Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) webpage in order to receive details on seat allocations. Multiple rounds of seat allocation are conducted using the CSAS platform. The combination of the chosen college/ university and programme, the candidate's rank on the merit list, the candidate's category (UR, EWS, SC, ST, OBC), and the availability of seats are some of the few variables that affect seat distribution at Delhi University. There are around 69,554 seats available at DU, 3,291 of which are designated for the sports quota. At Delhi University, 15% of seats are set aside for candidates from outside Delhi, with the remaining 85% reserved for Delhi candidates. The DU PhD admission 2023-24, will be done based on the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET), which will be followed by a Personal Interview (PI) session, conducted by the respective department, in which you are seeking admission.

What is the Delhi University admission process for NCWEB?

Since 1944, the Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB), a constituent institution of the University of Delhi, has worked to empower women through education. NCWEB provides two undergraduate courses: the B.A. programme and the B.Com. programme. his was developed to allow female students to take certain of the university's exams with special coaching but without having to attend regular classes. Admission to the aforementioned programmes is dependent on the score attained in Class 12. It should be noted that CUET results are not required for DU NCWEB admission.

What is the DU admission process for SOL?

DU SOL admissions for UG and PG programmes are conducted through online mode. For SOL admissions, CUET scores are not required. Candidates will have to visit the DU SOL official website and click on the registration tab. Next, students will have to add the relevant information to complete the application form. Next, they have to pay the DU SOL application fee of Rs 500 and submit the forms. Students are suggested to print out the application form for future reference. Since the School of Open Learning is a distance learning education part of Delhi University, merely qualifying the class 12 is required for admission to UG courses.

Besides the School of Open Learning and the Non-Collegiate Women Education Board admission, CUET qualification is the only route for admission to Delhi University.

Is 690 a good score in CUET for DU admission?

As per the recent trends, the highest scores in the CUET exam were between 700-750, while the average score was around 500-550. As a result, 650 or higher marks are above-average scores and decent marks to get admission. The DU admission cut off for each affiliated college, however, differs due to factors such as the number of students applying for that particular programme, the number of seats available, the difficulty level of the CUET examination, and more. As a result, in order to get admitted to top DU colleges, one must have a CUET score of at least 650.

What are the guidelines for DU admission?

Delhi University admission is offered based on scores in the Common University Entrance Test and the seats are allotted to students through the Common Seat Allocation System. Once qualified, students have to enrol for the CSAS with the help of CUET credentials. Students will be allotted seats based on their scores in the CUET examination subject to the choice filling and locking of colleges.
